I look into it this weekend, thanks

First , I did searched for two days but could not find what I was looking for. Here is my problem...drove home from the store close to home the car started to shake like crazy and I barely made it into the driveway. I checked to find out the problem and found out the # four trumpet on my 40 DCOE was leaking gas out of the trumpet. I did check the needle valve and the float, switched parts with my other carb also with an other extra float I have, still keeps leaking/dripping from the trumpet and the engine still keeps shaking like crazy. I also tightened the manifold nuts some. What else can I do to fix the problem?😒

Hi Barrett, I know I'm years late but I give it a shot...do you still have some wire left to fix my sending unit? Let me know please
-
-
No ECU Jim, so I'm good then.
Thank you all.

Ok Jim, thanks. I forgot one thing, the last picture shoes the wiring. The white wire is not connected yet, since I got everything covered up with the under dash panels what/where would be the easiest way to connect the white wire, any idea? That would be all.
Thanks again for your help

Thanks Toby, Jim.
So when the car idles it shoes anywhere from 12 to 13 which is to rich, correct? In order to screw around with the mixture screw, car idling do I leave the sensor always connected or disconnected?

I just finished installing my AFR Gauge 30-4110. The Gauge works fine but I believe needs to be calibrated according per instruction. I know how but I wouldn't know what to look for. The Gauge is in default position P0 and shoes 14.5. In case I need to calibrate do I disconnect the 02 sensor or leave it connected?
TIA

John76 I do have this saved but my car is a 74 and the reservoir has two wires instead of three plus the one.On my plug pin #5 is brown/blue, #3 is solid brown. I was trying to splice #5 and connect a wire to the short wire (brown/gray) from the plug harness bot didn't work. So, I do not know what I can do

Hello, my car is a 74 with working brake telltale cluster, and I would like to to use a different cluster with a push button telltale. I connected everything but the telltale doesn't work, only when I push the button it works. The question is how can I make it work, I did a lot of searching but could not find anything I need to make it work? Anybody, Thank you

My buttons all have letters on it except for the light button

How about with the letters LIGHT for my blank light switch button, I could use two?

Hi all, problem solved. I disconnected the rubber hose from the fuel sender on the tank, checked the plastic sleeve (looks good, not damaged, took off the ground and hot wire from the fuel sender, wiggled the connection on the fuel sender, charged the battery again and guess what...it started.
What I noticed in the beginning before I started I noticed a couple bobbles in the fuel filter. So, after I connected the rubber hose to the fuel sender I did tighten the clamp good (was kind of loose before). Took a long test drive, looking good.
Thank's all of you for your input.

I did this yesterday, took off the rubber hose from the carburetor (the one that is connected to the plastic fuel hose that comes from the tank) and started the car but no fuel coming out from the hose.
-
I blame it on the rain here. But still how can I find out why
-
Looks like I made a boo boo, the car has a mechanical fuel pump, the sending unit in the tank has about 1.8 V and no gas flow to the carburetor. Did I say it right this time?
-
It's a stock 74 with a 32/36 carburetor, more likely the original in tank fuel pump. I know it should be 12V, but how can I check to find out why?
-
I checked, got 1.8volts with ignition on
-
Car cranks but wont start. I checked but could not find any info on it

Sorry, my mistake. I know Hal did it. I fixed my mistake
