New Steering Wheel

Finally replaced the worn out 14" Dino wheel with a lower end Grant wheel (#377). I have replaced the Grant horn button with the BMW one. It's a bit worn, but I had to have at least one BMW badge in the cabin. Luckily the PO provided a 14" worn Dino and a much better condition 13" Dino. With my recent shoulder surgery and the lack of power steering, the 13" wheel wasn't going to cut it so I sold it to a fellow FAQer named Dino. I'm keeping the 14 and may rewrap it some day.

I love the look of wood, but wanted something a bit safer than wood. I don't like the idea of adding a lot of splinters to the list of injuries if I ever (God forbid) get in an accident. So the wheel I went with is actually high density polyurethane. It may not look as good as wood will in 10 years, but I will deal with that later.
