Seattle/Tacoma reset for 325i

Understand this is a 2002 forum, but I'm thinking about buying a '90' 325i, and all the idiot maintenance lights are on. In the past I know the dealer has been reluctant to turn them off when a shade tree mechanic does the work. So does anyone in the Seattle/Tacoma area have these tools, or is there a small shop that is willing to turn them off without the sales pitch or the lecture.

link on how to do it on the E36 with a good picture and reference to how to do the deed on an E30.

I use a piece of wire on my E36 (too damn lazy to build even the simple tool).
