This car is SOLD. I'll let the new owner announce himself. Suffice to say, it's going to a great, knowledgeable new caretaker, to take it to the next level and I'm extremely happy about that. For all you Legends competitors... You've been warned! 🤣

Hi Hank-
DM means "Direct Message". You can do that by clicking on my profile name and using the send message option. No matter though as I'll reach out to by phone and we can arrange a showing. I'm in San Francisco.
Thx

To any interested parties. I just took about 80 underside shots. Lots of detail shots of the seams and upper fenders and shock towers. The car is a revelation. It has zero structural rust and hardly any surface rust.
DM me for details.

Price: $45000Location: San Francisco, CA
Description:SOLD: Many of you have been following my 2002 purchase and subsequent improvement project. I've spent a lot of time hunting special period parts as well as many hours cleaning and detailing.
The car is amazingly original and with only 74k miles. Amazing ownership history with import from Switzerland in the later 90s.
I've improved it a lot and spent many hours giving it the loving care it really deserved. The engine compartment and interior are remarkable (especially for an original 50 yr old car) and are a wonder of originality and accuracy.
So with a rather downbeat heart, I have to put the car up for sale. As luck would have it I've been presented with an opportunity to buy a friend's mid-year 911 in a favorite factory color (Mexico Blue). I just don't have the garage space (I already rent 3 additional spots in San Francisco) nor the funds to keep both cars.
I'm not fully plugged into the value of 2002s, but this is a special car and really for someone that's partial to keeping their cars original and unmolested. It's not a car to modify. It's just too beautiful and original.
I've spent a lot of time recently working on the external paint and trim and think it's come out very well.
I have pics coming over the next couple of days but to read more about the car and my improvements, you can ck these two threads.Asking 45k OBO. Happy to discuss so please DM if interested.
Deposit on another BMW - NOT an E9
Well, I need another injected BMW like a hole in the head but I've always loved the quirky looks of these and with long time ownership including importation from Switzerland in 97, I at least had to put a deposit down and have it looked at, which is happening tomorrow. Supposedly original...e9coupe.com- 3

Your under dash pictures show a bare! Green/white wire. Please cover that up to prevent a short circuit or fire.
Yea, I did that first thing! It's the air horn switch.

I've got a set of NOS Campagnolo Ragnos that I want to mount new tires to. I'm concerned that the average tire shop will likely bugger up the wheels mounting the new Pirellis.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a good tire shop in the Bay area that is familiar with working with old, sensitive wheels?

I have this unit: I tested it with a remote power supply and it turns on. The tuner knob moves across the spectrum as well as the presets. I did not have an antenna, but with my finger on the volume talk, I can hear a faint signal and sound come through the static. It's missing one knob and the face plate has some scratches from behind. Chrome needs a good polish. Green light did not illuminate. Not certain it will without a strong signal or not. Indicator needle needs paint.
$200.00
Sorry I missed you earlier post/offer. I found a stereo Europa in good shape some time back.

Looking for the drivers side (LHD) center console side for a 73 Tii in excellent condition-no holes, tears, burns etc
Thanks

Thanks! Are they reusable? Mine look great but once I've popped them out. It's a bear to get them back in...

Yea, no pics and no spaces as far as I can see. Just look at Craigslist. That's how I found these. 325 per month for two spots. Cheap in the city..

Perhaps this topic should be unpinned as it appears they aren't available any longer?

Thought I'd update the thread. It's been awhile. I pulled the 90s radio out and picked up a Becker europa. Cleaning that up now. I now have a full set of the Campy Ragno wheels with cn36s I'll be putting on soon. I still haven't done anything with the externals on the car or the paint. I speak with different folks on the subject. Opinions (and prices) vary WILDLY.
I did just get a couple cool items that took some serious international sleuthing but after a few months pf poking around, I just got an NOS set of the Campy lugnuts and a set of Marchal 882 driving fogs..more to come.
