I need to update that. I'm actually in Lubbock, TX now. Just moved this past April. Otherwise, yes, they would be handling all the work related to this bad head. 

Just found out today that my head needs replacing and am shopping around. Would like to get one in decent enough shape to get it on fairly quickly. 

The head would be going onto a '74 M10, btw.

I am heavily considering getting into a 2002 by way of this example:

I know the "resto mod" may be frowned upon, but there is some nice attention to detail that I personally like. Plus, I would continue on the current path for this BMW and do things like 5-speed swap, fuel injection, maybe an M42 swap, etc. 

I've been into German rides for quite a while now, having owned a variety of BMW's and VW's (especially vans), but would really like to get back into BMW ownership. Even my father-in-law "wants me to get back into Bimmers." And this would be an awesome surprise for him!

I'm very interested in this group's opinion on the 2002 linked above. I have been in contact with the seller for a while now and can answer some questions if you have any, but I don't want to give too much info out as I do not want to lose my place in line, if you know what I mean.
