Hello all this is Stranded in Albequerque all is well and back in Anaheim I'm having a new transmission installed in my 72tii. Any way we have a body shop in Anaheim since 1956 somebody put a 1976 nose piece in. 71 and now owner wants it back original. All that is needed is a nose skin or just the center area 4" each side of kidney top to bottom does anybody have a damaged nose section we could buy for the center piece we need

Oh and I put a stock oem steering wheel on steering is much easier now

Hey 4speeder the car is doing good, going to German Car Specialist in Long Beach on Broadway. Tune up, valves adjustment and a transmission, 1st gear is shot, so I figure give it some new teeth, tighten up the underside, and it will be ready for another road trip thanks 4Speeder

Actually milage was pretty good I didn't let it get passed 1/2 tank so never put more than 6 gallons in average range was average range was 125 miles

Hey zinz service records all the way back to 1997 past owners, car was garaged in Wilmette Chicago well taken care of just never made. When i picked the car up I knew there would be some issues considering I was taking it from Chicago to Anaheim, pretty minor troubles for that length of a trip. Got home Tuesday night cruised 70-80 all the way home after the car was checked at Dieters German Car Specialists in Albuquerque, plug wires fuel filter at radiator and altitude adjustment. I have reset adj for California driving.

I have service records from the past owner and previous owners back to 94, he said it was not a daily driver so it is going in for service here in Anaheim at Preformance BMW thanks for the concern

It is Monday 12:30 in Albuquerque I took my car from the dealership thinking they were not the right place to be looking at my 72 2002tii and I was right. We found Dieter German Car Repair 4 miles away. Was that a good choice. A German Family run business. Trained in Germany complete expert on 2002's and tii's. Dieter said let's do the plug wires clean the plugs change the fuel filter. He had his mechanic do that then he adjusted the injection a little for the altitude difference. One of the plug wires was arching he doesn't like carbon wires so he put a new set of Bosch wires on. He told me I would not have made it as far as I did if it was a fuel problem. Thank you Dieter German Auto Repair. BACK ON THE ROAD IN THE MORNING HEADED FOR FLAGSTAFF

A mor detailed idea of my problem left Chicago the car was hesitating on highway slightly. So when I filled up and added injection cleaner, that helped. Drove to Springfield then to st Louis pretty easily, took the tank to 1/2 tank and got a big hesitation, so I filled up added a little more injection cleaner next morning I drove off to Amarillo car was ok off to Albuquerque got there and pulled off at 1/2 tank for fuel and serious hesitating refueled car ran normal getting on highway. Drove 45 46 miles and I got a constant every 5 seconds choking at 60 mph so I got off and had car towed to Sandia BMW. They will look at it Monday looking around I spotted a 73 2002tii showroom ready I was told that it belonged to the owner of the dealership, so at least one person there knows our passion. So I'm stuck in Albuquerque till Monday any other ideas ?

Picked up my 2002 tii bought on BaT drove it from Chicago to Albuquerque no problems then leaving Albuquerque it started hesitating and choking I'm headed to Sandia BMW for a Monday evaluation any ideas

Bought my Tii in Chicago from BaT seller started on my way home got to Albuquerque and started hesitating very regularly it's got to be the injection definitely a fuel problem any ideas
