I've found a few roundie in the Seattle area in nice shape for under 8k. I bought my 74tii for 5k. The E46 M3 has also been on several lists of investment cars to buy. I don't know why the SMG gets a bad rap. It has the same 0-60 time, same quarter mile times, people track then all day long with no worries and easy to convert it need be. Also 5k in New accessories. I just have a new daily driver and want a new project.

No worries. I don't know how much knowledge you have off these cars, but the SMG fairly easy to convert. I was planning on tracking it until the pump had issues and then convert it. Just did for thought.

Hi, it's an SMG. Runs and drives perfectly. It has been my daily driver. Oil changed every 6k. Had to replace the alternator, battery and idler pulley in my years of ownership. It has 140k on it, but BMW rebuilt the bottom end at 100k. I have receipts for this service. Lots of extra new race pays too
