  1. Is it a $200 car? A $3500 car? or a $12,000 car?

I'm not asking you to tell me / us… but for a few hundred bucks, this might be a decent candidate to learn /play with. The missing lock cylinder in the door and (who knows what else) make the car look like it was owned by a careless owner, that ignored the details that make street cars "civilized". You'd be amazed at how small things like  "not being able to lock your own damn car" will grind at your last nerve after a while.

I'm a bottom feeder, so take my opinion for what it's worth (nuthin') , but if it's more than $800….run away.

The other aspects of this car that make me interested is the (relatively) clean interior with recaros and momo wheel and such, the 5 speed swap from the owner before the current one, and the clean paint. He has it marked at 4500 but based on the the responses here I dont think it is worth that much anymore. Thanks!

  2. I am looking at buying this car, and it looks like a perfect candidate, until the owner sends me these pictures. From the pictures the rest of the car is clean, and all of the other body panels seem to be in shape, but this frame rail/ inner rocker rust has me concerned (especially the first picture). I haven't gone to see the car yet, and that will help me make a better judgement on the car, but from people who are experienced on working on these cars, is this rust a reason just ditch this car, or is it still salvageable.

    -Thanks!
