I recently joined up here since I have an interest in either acquiring a 2002 or doing a retso-mod project. I live in Nashua, NH, and was wondering if there are any resources in the area?
Are there any recommended books that I could consult? I see the "Gold Portfolio" book mentioned a bit that can be acquired for about $35-40.
I'm at the stage where I have questions about cost and time. There's a well-known BMW shop, 3D Auto Works, who I approached but he said they don't do anything that big. I wasn't sure who
else to ask that I could run some questions through. I lack access to a full garage but a friend of mine in NY has one, and he's currently restoring a '74 that was his mom's car, also the one
I got my first experience in. If I had my choice, I'd like to take a descent condition one and "modernize" it, ie: upgrade to LED where possible, properly coat the underbody with a rust-preventer. I've done work on a car before, so I'm experienced with some modifications.
