Up for sale is my 1973 BMW 2002 race car.
I bought the car from a gentleman in Greenwich Ct. who raced ITB, SCCA. He had crashed his previous race car and had mine built from scratch before his wife asked him to stop racing.
The car was build to run 12hours at the point, which is an endurance race. It was never raced. After purchasing the car I had a 4 speed transmission installed ( old one included in sale), the locked rear diff replaced with a limited slip ( locked rear comes with car) and the racing seat removed and replaced with a stock seat, (racing seat included)
My intension was to bring the car back to a legal street car while keeping it, more or less, a race car. The car has blinkers, a horn, lights ect. It is currently registered in New Hampshire.
As far as the mechanical components are concerned, I am not familiar enough with these cars to offer an accurate list. I know that it starts, drives and stops amazing. I will include the racing rims and a set of street wheels and tires for the car.
feel free to call me with any questions, MIchael 310-980-5006
