  1. I'd be happy to jump in on this to design new internal housings for the LED components. If we can use the original lenses it will keep costs down. We don't do any electrical so this would be purely any plastic components. We can do both round and square light cars. Manufacturing right here in Arizona. Let me know!

  2. Holy cow I missed a lot yesterday!

We are not doing dashes guys (or AC panels). We are also not doing any foam molding, although we can build the tooling for those interested.

UV- There are modern resins available with MUCH better UV resistance, though it is hard to beat the sun. Resins will be selected based on all necessary criteria for the application.

We have decades of experience building and molding low quantity tooling, rest assured the quality will be there whether it's 1,000 pieces or 1,000,000 pieces.

    Please keep the suggestions coming!

    Thanks,

  3. Hi Lorin, tag lights? I can get some pics together though we currently only do contract work.

Phil - Correct, there are pieces available for most, but even the current offerings from BMW have quality issues. One added benefit of reproducing pieces now is a reassessment of form/fit/function, i.e. we can tweak them slightly (design & resin choice) for better performance where necessary.

Also this is not limited to BMW, we will be pursuing all makes/models that have a need for quality replacements (including vintage motorcycles).

    Thanks!

  4. Hey Folks,

I have long considered reproducing NLA plastic components (exterior, interior, anything really), is there any interest from the forum? All parts will be designed, tooled & injection molded here in Arizona, NOT 3D printed. I have 26 years in the tool/die/injection molding field, with a very high tech facility.

I would need samples of each piece for 3D modeling, and all samples will be returned upon completion.

Let me know what you think!

    Thanks!

    -Dave.

  5. New Haltech Sport 1000 Platinum ECU w/8' long flying lead harness. Bought this for a turbo M10 project that was abandoned. Opened the box for pictures only, item is as new from Haltech. All info is available on the Haltech website. Asking $1,200 OBO shipped to the lower 48.

  6. Hi All,

Seeing as how I've decided to restore my Chamonix '02 back to original, I won't be needing either of my cages/roll bars.

First up is the Autopower Race bolt in roll bar. This is a really nice setup for a DE car. The harness bar and cross brace are removable, and I believe this is model 60230 + options. I do have the backing plates and hardware for this guy. Asking $525 plus actual freight.

Second up is a Kirk Racing bolt or weld in 4 point cage. This is as new, with some light surface rust from storage. This can easily be made into a 6 point cage by adding 2 rear down tubes. Asking $375 plus actual freight.

I think my pricing is ok, but please let me know if it's way out of line as I'm happy to negotiate.

Both are available for local pickup in Prescott, AZ.

I have 100% perfect feedback on M3Forum, Bimmerforums, and eBay under the same MPWRCPE user name.

    Cheers!

  7. Anyone have plastic injection molding capabilities?

The best I could do is make a fiberglass mold and make FG repros, but that would be a LONG, slow process. No way I could keep up with the demand. Someone who does FG full time shouldn't have many issues with it; vacuum bagging would be a must though considering the complex shape.

I do, but the tooling cost on this even in Aluminum would be VERY high. I'd be happy to swap tooling for an original '02 Turbo though:).
