Undo the clamp holding your old boot on. Remove the circlip holding the CV on the splined axle shaft, remove the CV, remove the old boot. its a yellow boot does it need to be a clear boot? Also the first link you post the axle is totally different looking and the second link doesnt have any kind of info...

So i recently had broken my rear half shaft on my 68 2002 i purchased a new new(used) one from a member on here with no boot. My old boot is perfectly fine so i wanted to have it switched ive tried every bmw dealership/drive line/axle shop no where can do it. I know im not the only one who has ever encountered this what the fuck do it do!!!!!!!!!!!!

so my broke my axle on my 1968 2002. Im having a very hard time finding a replacement axle. I know i cant be the other person out here thats every broke an axle. Where is a good place to look for one or does anyone have one laying around.
