I love it how the whole car looks raw and dusty, and there is, like the complete opposite of the whole picture, that beautiful piece of wood and metal, that art form of a steering wheel.
Anyway, I wish you all the best when it comes to finishing this beautiful project! What I'd do with this is a roundie conversion, but that's just me.

Oh, so that's why. Thanks for the information!

Wow, JakeB's car looks great, that's almost exactly the same look I'm aiming for!
As for the rims, if I ultimately decide to do this project, I'd like the car to be rolling on 13" BBS Mahles which I have already painted. So, since I'd use them, that probably means that I'm limited with brakes of stock dimensions.
And as for the engine, Jake's website says that 91 is a best year to have. Any particular reasons? Is it a USA thing or can it be applied to European cars too? And what about E36 m42 engines?

That plates are epic!

Well, since my 1602 engine is maybe nearing its end, an idea occurred to me, that I swap it with a M42 one. I'm aiming for a sleeper, with mostly stock look, but respectable performance in a daily driven car.
So, the questions I want to ask you are, cosmetically wise, what are the smallest wheels that can be fitted to an upgraded car with upgraded brakes. I suppose that 13" are out of the game. Also, would I need to do some wheel arch stretching in order for the bigger wheels to fit?
Mechanically wise, is it the best way to swap tranny and diff with 138is ones, or there are some better options?

The problem is that I'm from one of those non-Paypal countries on the other side of the Atlantic I'll get some detailed pictures and put them up.

If I was to sell this Petri, how much money could I expect to get for it, since it's from a VW Scirocco?

A guy on a Serbian oldtimer forum had some more info. The interior was painted with who knows what. So, it's a regular, ill fated 2002.

Hey people,
I came across this 02 in local ads, and I'm quite baffled about the blue interior, sunroof and a 4 headlight mask. Does anyone know if this could be some sort of special edition car? http://www.polovniautomobili.com/oglas2437954/bmw_2002/

I have an option to buy a clutch set for a small amount of money, but I don't know whether it will fit or not? Any help?
-
Hey uai, could you give me your email so I could ask you something?
-
Hey, don't worry, I'll post the pics by Monday, they're not at my place, as well as some other listed parts.
-
Mcmil, I'll send you the seatbelt pics by Monday.
So, here are the pictures, in high res so you can see the condition

I'm not sure about the diff since I haven't been able to get any of the mechanic pieces.

126 2.72 is stamped in blue, 020/140/1 and w=0.91 engraved in the metal.

Claw, the problem is with the extremely high shipping costs when it comes to heavier objects. I mean, the shipping cost could easily exceed the cost of the instrument box, and that would be bad for both you and me, no matter who pays the shipment fees.
Beyondauto, I'll give you the pics ASAP, you can expect them within the end of this week!

Hey guys, I parted out one rust bucket a couple of weeks ago, and after sorting out what I need and what I can afford to sell, I've made this small list of goodies:
-All 4 early type interior panels, rear one needs some love with the pocket. The interior is dark blue and I'm selling it with window openers and door openers, as well as armrests and ashtrays.
-For all you Euro enthusiasts, I have a 180km/h all black instrument cluster, but with clock(it will be tested, but since the car had under 150k, I guess it works nice)
-Door handles, no damage and in great condition with the original key and fully functioning locks.
-Euro turn signals, not very good, when I take the pics, you'll see.
-Seatbelts, non-self-retractable.
-1802 emblem.
Price? I have no idea, so please give me some references and don't worry about the shipping, I'll cover that!
Since I'm at the other side of the ocean, it would be the best option if I could send all the stuff to one of you guys, who would eventually ship the other stuff to other buyers, so that I can make the price good for both you and me.
Cheers!

Balkans, Serbia to be precise.

I have some, but they're located in Europe, so not sure about how much would the shipping cost.

Hello, can someone please post a picture of a side mirror mounting pad, I'm interested to know how that side orientated screw should look like.

Wow, it's been such a long time... The project is still sitting in my garage, and I'm getting close to finishing it, hopefully this summer. I'll post more details soon.
