  1. I am selling my stock of parts to fund the completion of another project. I will be going to the bay area to dropp off som parts this weekend and would love to have the benefit someone on my way up or back down.

I am willing to drop these off anywhere along the way up the 5 corridor or nearby highways. These are only available the corbeau Uk at a cost of 315 british pounds or $487 each. plus shipping. either way pretty expensive.

My seats are newly upholstered in corduroy inserts and black vinyl on the bolsters and backs with new corbeau patches front and rear.

$425 delivered or make offer. I am flexible with my price as I do need the space in my garage for my project I am about to finish. I paid much more than this for reupholstery

  3. Located in San Diego. I am selling the motor from my project. it is a very strong tii long block with new headgasket, rebuilt starter, alternator, new waterpump, new cannon intake manifold with excelent linkage that we assembled using better parts than cannons pieces, rebuilt 40dcoe carburetors with stainless steel velocity stacks. I will also include new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. Oh I almost forgot. We have just installed a freshly reground 292 cam performed by crower cams in san diego. The engine is very strong and tight with one cylinder running a little bit lower compression as is common with these motors but it is nothing that is affecting the performance as this car runs like a scalded goat!!! Oh I almost forgot again. I am including the tii exhaust manifold and also retains the tii distributor. Local only u pull. I am somewhat flexible on the price.

This should make for an extremely easy swap That should be completed in 1 weekend.

Could you show me what the fuel pressure regulator looks like? Is it rectangular shaped and mounted directly after the fuel pump? I've been having problems with my 02 with the same 40dcoe weber set-up.

    Any insite would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Edwin

    Edwin,

If you look at the 10th or 11th picture down on my post I am providing a link for,

you will see a chrome piece just between the carbs and the firewall. I mounted the fuel pressure regulator with an "L"bracket. This was placed just before the carburator, about 6 inches of hose back and set at around 2.5lbs to 3lbs. my fuel pump is located under the car just a few inches from the fuel tank. The pump, regulator and carbs work beautifully! I hope this helps.

  5. Try SKH wheels in your neck of the woods.

    714-369-5093

they should be really cheap around 40 a wheel. They will make it into a dual bolt pattern wheel. 4x100 will be between the existing holes. Maybe cheaper if you negotiate.

    Oh!!! Nice wheels!!

  6. Mine weighted at the emissions station says 912kg or 2010,6 lbs. Early car with 4 gallons of gas, 4 spd., no stereo, no AC, stock wheels and without me inside.

Cool 2k lbs. thats pretty light. Thanks for the info.

Its seems that there is still some weight to be found in the later cars It kinda makes me think that some havier guage sheet metal was used.

between yours and mlytle's cars there is a 300 lb difference. 120 lbs bumpers and attachments, 25lbs emisions, 20lbs door reinforcements, 45 lbs in bumper reinforcements

All these extras add up to 210 lbs give or take not including the extra sheetmetal in the rear quarters. I think this is close enough since mine will not be a race car but will see track days.

    Thanks

  7. Looking good! How hard was it to get all those holes welded up? I'm in the same boat...

    Thanks!

I have to say that more than anything, it is time consuming. As you can see from the pictures my interior is completely stripped which in my opinion makes thing easier because it makes accessing the holes ALOT Easier and reduces the risk of damaging your door panels and seats carpet etc. There are a couple of options, one is to use copper sheet thick enough to not burn thru as a backer since the weld will not stick to copper. The other is to use very small pieces of good old scrap sheetmetal to also use as something for backing. This makes things go really quickly since there will be no empty spaces to fill. Filling empty holes is really time consuming when you figure how many holes there is to do. I am very happy with the results!

Give yourself a weekend for the work and save this until its time for a new paint job.

Good luck and let me know if I can help.

    Chico
