After a year of re-furbishing my tii, I finally came to the moment of installing sunroof. Have read all of the very helpful articles, but it seems they the rubber gasket on the headliner prevents the roof from opening 100% of the way. Lets say it opens 90% and then seems to catch on the last 2 inches where the rubber gasket sits. Just wondering if this is how it was designed?

Does anyone have the dimensions for the original BMW 2002 battery which sits on the battery tray? I believe the original was made by Varta ref: 61211362314 and 55amp. Today BMW is offering a new battery ref: 61218377139 also 55 amp. But I do not know if the size is the same and BMW does not give details. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. [/b]

and by the way Esty, as I am now on the verge of sound proofing, do you have a preference ie: fat mat, Dynomat or Terodem SP 100 & 300 (which seems to be what was originally installed)?

I am in the process of priming the cabin and noticed the holes which are used for securing the carpet to the floorboards. It seems these holes are a rust trap. Should I leave them or weld them up? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, This is very helpful. I wish you had one of these for the 72tii european version or even the US edition. Most of the ones I see are so small they are impossible to read and where can you find magnifying glasses these days. Thanks again
