On RHD cars, the dash brake warning light could simply be the hand/emergency brake switch at the rear of the hand/emergency brake, under the "rubber" concertina cover. The switch is cheap and somewhat "nasty" and often plays up. Easy to check.

Don't take it personally. You organised the drive. You didn't drive anyone's car but yours.
I had an off (highside) when on a BMW motorcycle run on my K100RS and nearly creamed a fellow biker. We discussed it after and both agreed that, in life, sh+t happens and we've got to get over it and move on.
Your efforts in all things are appreciated and you should take pride/enjoyment from it all. Let me know if you need cheering up and I'll send another bottle from Oz!!

Guys, I've got access to the early 6 fuse wiring diagrams for US and "Europe" but would really appreciate a copy of the later 12 fuse diagram that covers 1602/1802/2002/A together with the special equipment/Injection suplement. Can anyone help?
I think it only covers the very best 02s, square tailights!! LOL )
TIA

G'day folks, Alan in Oz here again.
I've just tried to access my CD copy of the BMW workshop manual and 8 of the files have somehow been corrupted. Can anyone help with the pdf files for the following manual sections:
instruments-lights
intro
radiator
radio
rear-axel (yes the file title is incorrectly spelt)
seats
steering-wheelalign
wheels-tyres
Any help would be greatly received,
Alan
I come from a land downunder, and when files get corrupted (I get REALLY unhappy!)

Thanks for the pictures and the pointer to the Tii's downloadable manuals. Absolutely invaluable resource for someone like me, who's a world away from an actual airconditioned 2002.
I'll digest the contents and see where to from here.
Thanks again guys
Alan
I come from a land down under, where lack of airconditioning can make you chunder!

G’day all, Alan in Australia here. I’m the second owner of a 1975, Sahara coloured 2002 auto in excellent, low mileage original condition. No accident damage, rust or basic problems at all. Unfortunately/fortunately she’s blown a head gasket, but with the head off that gives me space to get in and fit airconditioning.
I sourced a Behr airconditioning unit from the US of A some years ago and now would appreciate help to fit it.
I need advice /specifications /plans /photos of a left hand drive installation to help me understand and complete the conversion to right hand drive, without butchering the car. Obvious complications to fitting the unit to RHD include the proximity of the steering box and shaft, together with the pedal box and brake master cyclinder. Any assistance from someone who owns/ has access to an airconditioned car and is willing to help would be greatly welcomed, either off list or on.
Thanks in anticipation for any assistance given.

Not sure about sources in the US, but Jaymic in the UK can supply both. I recently bought a new auto selector indicator from them. Brilliant condition plastic chrome and the gear selected backlit indicator bit improved the look of my interior greatly.
