UPDATE!!!
So after the last post, Pertronix CALLED ME BACK and said that they were mistaken. They now state that the part number is 1843 (which is the one listed for the 74tii...which is said to be the original model for my distributor) is the correct one. So I'm ordering that one...and praying.
-
If anyone is following this thread. I just spoke with Pertronix and they say that the 1847V part is correct for this distributor. That's goofy since the distributor was supposed to be from a 74tii (per numerous websites/factory references), and the Pertronix site calls for another part number for the '74tii. Glad I called!
-
Anyone gone Pertronix on the 74tii distributor (bosch 0231 180 013)? Looks from the Pertonix site that it's part number 1843 but it's not listed with the distributor number so I thought, being a noob, I'd ask the forum before ordering.

It's on my 73 '02 and it's not on any of the lists I've seen. I would like to replace points with Pertronix but can't figure out which model to buy (their site doesn't list this distributor #).
It's 0231 180 013
Beneath that it is JFUD4
Please help!
Thanks

To add detail: I'd like to plug/disable this return line too. It comes through the firewall and connects to what looks like a fuel pump or something on the side of the head/valve cover. This has an arrow on it pointing in the direction of the return line. If I disconnect it here, what do I do with the unit with the arrow on it? Did that make sense?

I'd really like to know an answer to this too. I have never had a car with anything but a vapor return line (which is always easy to remove). My 73 had (pas tense) a vapor return line, but it still has the clear fuel return line. I HATE THE IDEA of having this return line in my passenger compartment! Can I remove it? If so, do I have to splice the old fuel return line back into the fuel delivery line, plug it, what?

So maybe this is stupid, but I can't seem to find the number on my distributor? I've checked the FAQ and it's not noted there either? I'd like to order my Pertronix today. Help?

Tentative Agreement Here....
They've got my '02 in the shop now. Tom did a very thorough overview of all the little (and big) problems. Though I can't afford to fix them all now, it sure seems like he took the time to do a detailed assessment.
