Is that Hillsdale in NorCal? If so, I could come by this weekend to grab those.
-
Do you still have the flag mirror? If so, I'll take it. That's a lefty, correct?

Thanks. I'll give that a look.

Howdy. I discovered this weekend that my 32/36 manual choke Weber is leaking fuel around the throttle linkage. It's hard to see exactly where it's coming from, but it's dripping off the throttle control lever. Where might the actual leak be?
Thanks

Sale is pending. Will go down the list if it falls through.

I have seen prices all over the map depending on condition and source. This seemed like a fair price for fellow FAQers who have been so helpful to me over the years.

These are the numbers on the bracket:

Um...er...yeah. That did the trick. Of course, I had already pulled the door panel off. At least I know how to do THAT now.
Thanks much!

Good grief, I feel stupid. I was looking at my door latches just now to see how I could rehab them a little. On the drivers side, I turned the latch on the door counterclockwise to check play, and it locked. Pulling the interior door handle and unlocking the door with the key do nothing to move the latch. Did I bork something? I'm kinda stuck now since I can't even close the door. Help?

Hi all. Any recommendations for a clutch repair shop for my '71 and what it might cost? Thanks!

Both items have sold.

I bought this from a Bay Area BMW enthusiast 2 1/2 years ago with the intent of putting it in my 2002. But I never got around to it. I literally just pulled it out of the shipping box for the first time today. It was harvested from a 320i, and is in good condition. Asking $350.
I also have a 5-speed G-245 that I got from the same buyer. Also never used in a 2002. I'll bundle the two for $600.
Contact me via the email button above.
I'd prefer San Francisco Bay Area buyers so as to avoid shipping. But I'll ship if necessary with the buyer paying. The LSD is 65 pounds.
Thanks.

I'm in Oakland also with a '71. Email me via the "email" button here.

If you haven't already, please put a front bumper on it. I know from personal experience that other cars will eventually find your front grill. A little love tap can do quite a bit of damage.
Cheers.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that page. Thanks much.

Anyone know if there is a torque spec for the six (24 in all) CV joint bolts. I use the longer 60mm bolts that pass through the housing and are secured by locknuts. I suppose "as tight as possible'' would be one spec.

I'm looking for a stock open 3.64 differential for my '71. I really just need one of the output flanges, but figured it might be easier to source a used differential. This will be a placeholder diff until I do my 5-speed/3.91 conversion. So I'm not looking to spend a lot. If anyone has one laying around, preferably in the S.F. Bay Area, give me a jingle via the email link.
Thanks!

Steelie wheel covers
in Miscellaneous
Posted · Edited by mbaze
Description:
SOLD: Good condition 13" wheel covers for steelies. A couple of barely perceptible dents. They polish up well. I have just three, not four. I just posted these a year ago for a somewhat higher price and got no takers. Posting again at far less than what I paid ( never used them). These are the last remnants of my 2002 love affair. And the garage-cleaning necessitates them going bye-bye. Please don't make me put them on Craigslist (ugh).
