    2002 Turbo Story - Myth or Real ??

    As far as the paintings are concerned it is sure that customer wishes had been taken into account. Deviations from the official colours POLARIS and CHAMONIX were available. The colours were defined by a code and that is why some of them are not surely cleared up. In any case there were several surprising discoveries:

     

    CHAMONIX (white) 1049 POLARIS (silvermetallic) 615 TAIGA (greenmetallic) 1 SCHWARZ (black) 1 unsolved code 5 missing registrations 1 total 1672

    A second delivery book, unfortunately incomplete, revealed five unexpected colours. Their number fitted to the number of unidentified codes in book No. 1:

     

    TAMPICO (beige) 1 INKA (orange) 1 PASTELLBLAU (blue)....... 1 JADEGRÜN (green) 1 VERONA (red) 1

    Finally I would like to thank the employees of the historical archives for their help and support and the BMW AG for keeping the written and printed history of our cars.

    Turbo Reverse Script?

    Should I or shouldn't put the reverse turbo script on the front of my car. It was the 149th one made and delievered to France. The gentleman I bought the car from brought it over from England and it did not have the script on it. The car has been restored, looks and runs sweet. I don't think it came with the script. Its the second most asked question, first being is it real?

    Coming up quick!

    Anyone passing thru St Louis on their Drive down to Eureka Springs? I am in Chesterfield. Mike Pugh and his crew from NC are stopping by sometime Thursday afternoon. Have floor jacks and some air tools that hopefully no one will need! BBQ, Soda pop & Malted beverages Thursday then to Hermann Thursday night. Friday Hermann on to Eureka Springs Mid America about 7 hrs.

    For the kid that never left us..

    Carrera just came out with 2 new digital BMW 2002ti slot cars. You can race 6 of these cars at the same time on two lane track. You can switch between the lanes for passing.

    55mm OD exhaust pipe

    I am looking for someone who has and can bend 55mm od exhaust pipe. I am putting a new muffler on my turbo and the only configuration from BMW is the straight dump and I need the two 90 degree bend configuration. I can't find the pipe local in St Louis.
