  1. I'm looking for a good home for my 1976 2002. I'm the fifth owner and have owned the car for the last five years. The reason for selling is not enough time to drive it and I do believe these cars should be driven and not sitting.

This is a Canadian car so it has had rust issues in the past. The front fenders are fibreglass and from the previous owner were replaced by one of the first three owners. The shock towers have also been replaced (during my ownership). Myself and the previous owner have stored the car each winter and oiled each year. The rest of the car is in good shape. The paint is in pretty good shape with a couple of stone chips on the hood.

The cars' odometer shows 144,590 miles but when the previous owner purchased the car, the speedomoter wasn't working. He had it rebuilt and figures the car has an additional 10K to 15K on it. The engine has not been touched and burns some oil but not much. The engine has a couple of upgrades from stock - K&N air cleaner, weber carb, peanut intake manifold and Tii exhaust manifold. The suspension has been lowered with sport shocks and springs all around. All engine, suspension and shock tower work by Edward Kurek.

The four speed gearbox works well but is a bit notchy going from 3rd to 2nd gear. The previous owner replaced the clutch.

The car comes with some spare parts including 2 sets of wheels (turbine and basketweave), piano top pistons, E30 head to go with them and various other odds and ends.

I'm asking $8,000CAN. Please, serious inquiries only. Thanks.

  2. "cold damp scottish winters" that goes for summers also (born there). In floor hot water heating is the most efficient form of space heating. You only have to heat to 6 or 7 feet above floor level. You then have options as to how to heat the water. Good luck.

  3. I think I've got the problem of getting the pictures to fit the post solved. Thanks for the suggestions. I have another problem more serious - I've found rust on the shock towers. It's through in a couple of spots on both sides. Is there any aftermarket repair kits for this or do you have to fabricate new metal to fit the individual problem?

    Thanks,

    Rod

  4. and wanted to say Hi! Just bought my first 2002, a 1976 Granatrot metallic. It has a weber card and K&N air filter but otherwise stock. The car has lived in Canada all of it's life and I'm the fourth owner. I had a 1980 Porsche 911 but I find this is more of a blast to drive. The car has a little bit of rust and uses a bit of oil but nothing that can't be fixed over time. I have been reading FAQ for the last several months and learning about the 02 - thanks, it's been very helpful. Edward, if you're looking in - thanks for your help and support. My mechanics skills are limited and rusty (no pun intended) so I'll be asking a lot of questions in the future. First question - how do you reduce the size of a picture to fit the attachment - 3Mb down to 500kb. Once I figure that out I'll send a picture of the car.

    Thanks,

    Rod Crichton
