It's the annual Deutsche Classic auto show at the Oley Fairgrounds in scenic Oley, PA! Each year, hundreds of vintage BMW, Mercedes, VW, Porsche, and Audi enthusiasts gather for this family-friendly event in Berks County. BayArea 02 Swap & Show, 11 July, Marina at Brisbane, California. Please preregister on Motorsportreg starting about 1 May.  Although the calendar we had at the last Swap & Show says the 2026 event will be in May, we decided to postpone it until July to take advantage of the rain-free month. We also hope the breeze will be more of a gentle breeze than a typhoon.

 
We have NOT yet set fees but expect preregistration to be about $32 and onsite registration to remain about $40.  Graphic artist Kile Brekke is sharpening his pencils (well, his computer…) to provide some of his delightful images for our shirts and printed materials: watch as they become finalized!   Since we’re still early in our planning, many details are not yet confirmed but the event should be similar to recent Swap & Shows. Stay tuned!

 
Note— Swap & Show visitors are welcome!  If you do not show your car or swap parts, there is No Fee for entry.  But we encourage anyone with a BMW of our vintage (1960’s through 1975 and all 1502’s) to bring your car to display, no matter how beautiful your restoration or how mundane the dirt and rust on your daily driver (some photographers can make the rust and dirt look surprisingly attractive!).  Swap & Show does not judge your car so there will be no points for extra dirt, missing dirt, matching luggage, upside-down fog lamps or concours-ready shine.  We smile at all BMW's, and photographs or videos are welcome (but—NO drones over cars)!

We want to welcome everyone to the Post Swap and Show "Tacos and Beer Party!"

Let's eat some Tacos and drink some beer after the big BayArea02 Event. Bring yourself. Nothing else is needed.

We have several beds, air beds, couches, and floor space if you want to stay the night. Many have done this in the past.

The last time, we fit 12 cars in the driveway and the rest at the bottom of the hill. I think we can do better than that. 17 is the magic number (I think).

You are welcome to jump in the pool, as it should be on the warmer side by May.

Though the event is private, we always welcome friends of friends. So, invite those you do not see on the list, especially if they have been here. The group has grown, and we always welcome great new people.
