Hello PNW BMW 2002 Enthusiasts,

I am selling off numerous parts for a good 2002 friend. Included in this parts lot are two pair of gorgeous Scheel-Mann seats (made in West Germany).

One pair was reupholstered locally about five years ago and one pair is brand new.

Both pair are upholstered in period correct black velour type cloth in the seating and backrest areas. The sides are black leatherette.

These seats are incredibly comfortable and supportive...perfect for long distance drives.

I presently have one pair posted for sale on Seattle Craigslist with multiple photos under "Auto Parts/BMW 2002".

If you are looking to upgrade your front seats, this is an excellent opportunity to do so.

It's the most wonderful time of the year (pretty much), our annual 02-02-02 gathering at Don Armeni boat ramp in West Seattle. This year the date appears to be Saturday Feb 1, since we've usually held the event on a Saturday. But Sunday is the 2nd, the true point of beginning, so let's see what the consensus is.

Get those projects finished up, and gather up all your parts and goodies you might want to sell or swap, and we'll see you the weekend of Feb 1!

There will be lots of Top Pot donuts and Charbuck's coffee. . . .

Saw this very rusty 635 at pick n pull Tacoma. I pulled the front calipers, but it had a nice saddle rear seat and an iS steering wheel on it (no horn button). 40% off this weekend for anyone looking! Good luck!

Here's a 2002 that was restored by Patrick's shop, and is currently in Bellingham per the ad. Looks really nice but even though there are dozens of pictures there are none of the engine bay or trunk or underside.

Appears that XXX Rootbeer closed its doors yesterday for good. The article does indicate that it was sold on Nov 20, unstated whether the new owner will re-open or bulldoze it down.

'71 Door mechanisms refurb

Anyone in the Seattle area who could help me with refurbishment of window crank and door latch mechanisms in my '71? Doors require 3-4 slams to close, consequently window cranks are noisy, I assume because bushings or spacers have worn and dropped off. Side view mirror also needs tightening and I assume this also requires access from inside door panel.

Too many projects on my plate and can't take on a new learning exercise right now. I'd make it worth your time.

Selling My 73 Fjord 2002

Hello all PNW FAQ members.

Late last October, I placed my 73 Fjord 2002 on BaT. With lackluster bidding, the auction went reverse not met on November 5th.

I presently own four 2002's, all fully restored by me. I am wanting to thin my herd down to three cars. Please have a look at my BaT auction photos and videos for all the details.

Further, BaT has reached out to me encouraging me to re-list with them. I am going to follow their lead, but not until early March 2024.

As far as valuation, like all of my 2002's, my 73 Fjord is a Hagerty #3 car.

Prior to posting on the FAQ cars for sale forum, I wanted to get a feel for any interest within our Northwest group...."keeping things local".

Need a little help

Hello friends!
i came down to warm up the 1976 2002 and the key got stuck in the door. Rotated about 25 degrees and the closing latch is stuck as well. Door is unable to close at the moment.
i can’t seem to find a step by step for how to get the door panel off in a non violent way my manual has some but they’re not great tbh

can anyone hook me up with some directions?

UPDATE: ROUTE CHANGE

We're going to change the route due to construction on Stevens Canyon Rd where they've taken down parts of the road to gravel. Unfortunately, this means a full drive around the mountain is going to be difficult. We've decided to cut the drive short to a halfway point at Cayuse Pass. If folks want to continue around the full route from Cayuse Pass, y'all can decide from there.

Here's the new, much shorter route/itinerary:
9:30am - meet-up at the Enumclaw Safeway 152 Roosevelt Ave E, Enumclaw, WA 98022
10:00am - Depart Safeway

11:30am - Drive to Sunrise Visitor Center - lunch, pictures, sight seeing

1:00pm - Drive Cayuse Pass - pictures, sight seeing

Return to Enumclaw - head home
