Hey guys, Mark from Restoration Design here,

Just wanted to let you know that we have updated our 02' Model, Sheet Metal/Body Panel stock.

Do you have any rust in those hot spots?

I've seen a couple models this year with some rusty, custom-made panels, now swapped out with these better fitting, better quality parts. - - http://www.restoration-design.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=SRCH

We've got Wheelhouse Repairs, Frame Rails, Fenders, Wing Covers, etc., for any Restoring you might be doing!

Feel free to send me a message if you need anything.

Hi Mark Are you making your own frame rails yet? Thx

Hey Tony!

Unfortunately no, we outsource that piece.

However, we are completing nearly a dozen dyes in the next few weeks. Which means you can expect quite a few new parts in the near future..

These frame rails are great quality!

Need any jack or axle supports? We've got lots of fenders as well!

Regards,

Mark.

Can't wait to actually start into the rust repair on my car so I can get some of y'alls parts! I think Rob is talking about just the spare tire well, most of the car's I've seen at least are just rusted out at the very bottom of the tire well and no where else (my tii is this way) so replacing the whole floor is a lot more work than necessary.

Yeah, unless improperly stored, they really are not bad for the widespread rust.

That, being one of the reasons why we provide these:

We have definitely noticed that the partial floors have been a huge help for people.

WIth all due respect, the front floor panels are available from Walloth and Nesch for about $66 each. Their shipping is very reasonable, so cost will be less than 139 USD each before even adding your shipping cost. Can you please explain why yours cost more? They seem identical to what WN sells, which are also available from other vendors at not-so-expensive prices. I have them and they are very good quality. Factory pieces you are selling are also available from other vendors for less $$. Just curious.

thx

I was referring to the trunk floor section. Not everyone wants to replace the whole trunk floor just to patch up the bottom of the spare tire well, so just the tire well would be pretty cool!

Agree with Al. Bought one side subframe mount repair from Canada and the other from Germany. Same exact parts but considerable price difference.

Thank you so much for mentioning this!

I will look into the reasoning behind this and see if that can be changed!

I recommend taking a look at the BMW parts that we have made here in shop, that we could not find anywhere else.

Thank you again for the feedback!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
