Fully built BRAND NEW insane M10 motor (turbo)

Long story short, a tree fell on my 2002 last year and I've decided to get rid of the car and all of my parts. For now I'm just listing my motor because I haven't gotten the other stuff out of storage yet(I'll make a separate thread for everything else then). The price for me is extremely hard to determine. Thousands of dollars went into the motor($2000 into pistons and rods alone!!). I am in no rush to sell and really hate parting with everything that I've collected over the years. I figure stock running 200,000 mile S14s go for $5000 all day so I'm just going to throw out $4000 + shipping for motor.(Will throw in custom reground stock turbo spec cam as well) If the price is ridiculous and no one is interested it will go down.

The details!:

Everything is brand new, never been run

It is best suited for a force induction build because of the lower compression ratio.

My plan was to have 350 whp and this should hold that, and then some!

HEAD:

From '84 318i (best flowing head)

fully assembled

~8000 RPM Valve train

Fresh valve job

Ported

Stainless Steel valves(These might be oversized, will double check)

EDIT^^ The valves are not brand new but were cleaned up, one of them as a slightly different recess as well, won't make any difference though

Titanium retainers

Korman Dual Valve springs

Korman light weight rocker arms

Schrick 284

Head work was performed at Top End Performance in North Hollywood, Ca

SHORT BLOCK

Short block assembled

1.8L block (lighter than 2.0 one)

Metric Mechanic sourced Forged Pistons (8.25 to 1 compression) EDIT: 89mm

lightened 2.0 crankshaft(shot peened, polished, and balanced)

Raceware main cap studs

ARP rod bolts

Mechart connecting rods

New rings, pins, bearings

Block machine work was done at Bob Lambeck Enterprises in Northridge, Ca

Some stuff I'm not sure I have anymore like the timing components and the oil pump parts. I'll throw in whatever I find in my boxes.

Like I stated above I have a bunch of misc pieces to go with the motor, like several custom aluminum pulleys, including an underdrive alternator pulley. Many if not all of the cover pieces, some gaskets and sensors.

When I start to part the car I will have almost all of the related turbo components to go along with the motor for sale as well including fully assembled Megasquirt with relay board and harness, EDIS ignition system, intercooler, Garrett ballbearing GT28R turbo, "Good n' Tight" custom tubular manifold, 318i fuel pump, etc! Again, I'll make a separate thread for all of this stuff when I have it off the car.

It's all about momentum

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
