My exhaust: a vintage 4:2:1 Alpina header, into a 2002 Turbo resonator, then exiting through a Billy Boat Tri-Flow muffler with an extended baloney-cut exhaust tip. ;-)

Ok, now I got it. Sounds great. I am experimenting with different mufflers right now. I have a "Muzzy" motorcycle muffler welded in place of the stock BMW ANSA muffler now. It sounds nice and deep without making too much noise. I also tried one of those generic 4" round mufflers and it sounds great but much louder. I guess I will stick with the motorcycle muffler....

Yeeeah, why not... A muffler is a muffler, different designs give different exhaust notes (and backpressure). It is just a matter of welding it to the stock exhaust system with proper pipe reducer.

It's not like I used a set of handlebars off of my 1974 Honda CB450 to replace the steering wheel...

The MUZZY pipe sounds great. Quieter than ANSA SPORT exhaust yet gives a nice deep tone that is not anoying.... I will post a picture tommorow. It will be interesting to see if people will like it.
