  1. We just put together this (kinda silly) little video to help customers install their kooglewerks air dams....hopefully it provides some useful information. (on a side note: the air dam I install in the video is a new "slim" version, smaller than any previously offered!)
  2. Im not the first guy to do this, and there are other DIY write ups out there on how to do this, but I thought I would throw it up here. Built a GoPro camera mount that bolts to my head rest. Square bar aluminum tubing, two U bolts, two square black plastic furniture end caps (bulk hardware section), and some paint. Ill use a GoPro sticky mount, but if you have a different camera you could also buy a super cheap tripod camera base and screw it onto the aluminum bar. If you would like to use a regular camera you can get one of these for about $7 (with Prime shipping options) on Amazon, or just go to your local Walmart/Walgreens and buy a super cheap tripod so you can scavenge the mounting hardwear off of the top of it. http://www.amazon.com/CMP227-Motorcycle-Bicycle-Handle-Cameras/dp/B00585CLVS/ref=sr_1_2?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1375751762&sr=1-2&keywords=camera+tripod
  3. I tweaked the M10 race engine, ran it on the stand yesterday. I think It sounds - well.... angry.
  4. If you have a video to share, add it to our collection A link to most of the standard places will create a thumbnail and keep the collection growing. We have over 60 videos right now.More will be better. If you think we need more categories, i can add those. steve k.
  5. Spent last weekend instructing for the New Jersey Chapter BMWCCA at Summit Point Main track. two of us in the instructor group had 2002's with S14's. oh boy! Wade Wilson brought his Golf colored 1800lb 2002 race car...flares, fiberglass body parts, hoosier 23x8.5in slicks, S14 with 284/276 cams, side exhaust, willwoods all around. sweet! I ran my Cinnabar 2400lb street legal 02....no flares, all steel, full interior, stereo, hankook 214 r-comps, S14 with 276/276 cams, 2.5in rear exit exhaust, bigger wilwoods all around. we met up in one session on saturday afternoon. what a hoot having two ancient cars run through the instructor run group for a few laps. Loved going by the new corvette. yeee haaa! squaretails rule! I may need to put my car on a weight loss program... [sharedmedia=videos:videos:79]

  8. Saw a commercial for ebay's social media garage site they're promoting heavily now. black and orange 02 makes a 2 second appearance at the 0:57 mark. Nothing too exciting, but thought it was pretty cool that out of 6 cars they showed the 2002 was one, and the only other classic was the mustang. http://youtu.be/j9GFvJeiYlo?t=56s Link takes you to just before it comes on so you don't have to watch the whole thing if you don't want to.
  9. My friend Peter Lockhart invited me to participate in this year's Celebration of Speed (fundraiser) for the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame at Mosport last August. The Ride-Along program offers people a chance to ride in any number of cars, from vintage to the latest high performance street and full on race cars, with the likes of Peter and Ron Fellows behind the wheel. My passenger Mark Langeraap asked if he could attach his GoPro. I said only if you send me the video. Ryan Dupont provided the track pics and Rob von Engelbrechten put the whole thing together. I got my car back after doing some suspension mods (lowering), new tires and an alignment just a couple days before the event. I've actually never run this car around a track at speed so I didn't really know what to expect. One small front shock adjustment and it was perfect. I took 15+ passengers for 3 laps each around the track. Many who'd just hopped out of some seriously fast cars, but were all pleasantly surprised by the vintage 2002 experience. They all grinning from ear to ear when they got out. It was a beautiful day. Enjoy... I certainly did!
  10. And I think we all might recognize who posted it...pretty fun to watch!!!

  12. Took a test drive in the newly installed M42. I'm going to have to do something about that engine movement.
