BMW 2002 tii 1971 “Max” Logbook: VSCDA, SVRA Condition: Excellent Best known 2002 in the Midwest if not the country. Documented racing history goes back to early 1970's and includes Paul Masank's SCCA national wins. Car is often featured in vintage racing publications (most recently in the Vintage Motorsports 2008 Annual). Many VSCDA and SVRA class wins. Brought to Monterrey, Mexico and after a full restoration by Jaime Williams, Max raced in the Vintage Series, being the regional Champion in the B Category (Up to 2,000 cc), winning 10 races out of 10, and 9 pole positions. Hi All, I'm just checking in to see if someone in/around/near San Mateo has a working rear end for my 1970 2002. Mine went out and I need a new one ASAP. If anyone has a lead on any working rear, anything 3.64 to 3.91, either open or LSD if the price isn't too high. Thanks in advance and have a great day! Greg
Hello, Im buying a new diff for my 02 (3:64:1 ratio) and Im having some difficulties to ID new diffs..I know ratio number is embedded in the left face of the diff, but lately a new number have been popping out when discussing with sellers. One is claiming he has a 3:42 ratio which technically never existed, so can please someone tell me what this number 342 on top of the diff means, the closest number to this one is 3.45:1 from some EU tii's (and this diff that im buying was from EU specs tii)..but I doubt this is the case. Thanks for answers.
