  2. Hey everyone! I'm going to be getting my rims mounted on some rubber soon and was wondering what you all run. I've got a set of the Rota os mesh in 15x7 and I would love to run Toyo Proxxes R888R's but that's not very practical for our fall and winter weather... Thank you for the suggestions! -Ted

  4. taught competition school last weekend. students use full race cars, so instructors don't ride with them. had to bring a car for the sessions we take our students out for track fam and passing drills. i usually get two race students and a student instructor so i needed four seats. crappy wx forecast so took the e30 325e slushbox. but...the yoko es100's on it for commuting just suck so put the street wheels/tires from the 2002 on the car for the weekend. they are yoko s.drives 195/50 15 on rota rb's. my buddy with an e30 m3 wearing 225 goodyear rivals was playmate on track for drills. wx for the weekend was bad for those of us standing around but great for students sat - 46deg and rain sun - 38 deg, 20+ mph winds, driving wet snow and heavy rain. the s.drives were great in these conditions! good grip, predictable, cut through the puddles, no hydroplaning at 90+. they are not close to a full hoosier wet race tire of course, but for an inexpensive performance street tire they worked really well. impressed! the rota's looked really good on the e30..was tempted to leave them on the car for a while, but the first pothole i hit on the way to work convinced me not a good idea. too bad as the transformed the dry handling of the e30 also. off they came tonight. besides...they needed cleaning to get the WV mud off.... s.drives highly recommended for a good three season performance street tire.
  5. Hello, I'm currently saving up for my '02 and am not far off from getting it a couple months from now. I reside in the Portland, Oregon area..and as you know, we have plenty of mountain ranges around here (including Mt. Hood) to do lots of snowboarding/skiing, and I've seen plenty of 2002's driving around with ski racks, and was wondering if they come to actual use--do the 02's handle decent on the snow? I understand it's not the most advanced car in the world, but how does it handle in the colder climates? That aside, how about the regular 'ole Oregon rain? Appreciate all your help & support! Sorry for the possibly, noob question (although, I'm sure there's plenty newcomers wondering the same). Thanks, once again!
  6. New windshield going in (dark green shading too boot !! As i pass this glass to a so called pro, is there any thing i can over see (know it all Franky ) I got the Crome bead ,and the gasket. ps the leaking on my left foot has got to come to an end!! ... that said my blinker relay is so soaked wet with this issue......and is..... also pissed. I want to know what precausions i may take or (know it all Franky) may take, in order to support the dry cabin. PS i have the 73, that also leaks on my left foot. Sun roofs yes .
