  6. 38 cm 'Turbo' steering wheel in very good condition. Has a tiny dent from storage at 8:45 o'clock. Additional info: Turbo steering wheels can be recognized by the horn button. Unlike the E21 steering wheels, the Turbo steering wheel has a horn button with only the emblem being the push button. With E21 steering wheels, the entire center is the push button. Turbo steering wheels have the part number 1113738 stamped at the inside of the hub ( see photo ). The 1126 stamp stands for 02 fitment. The 1126 stamp is a number used by Petri. Turbo wheels were available from September 1973 up to 1988. Optional or with the car. The first series were stamped '38' and the second series were stamped '838'. Diameter: 380 mm, non-reflecting, matte black spokes. All Turbo steering wheels were foam wheels. Also named 'Temperature compensating upholstery'.
  7. Very early Petri, recognizable by the lack of stamps. Not perfect but very good looking. Right and lower spoke have some tiny stretch marks, nothing serious. Left spoke has a few tiny spots. Hub and horn button are aftermarket. Hub cover is original but has a repair ( previous owner shortened it, we fixed it ). Rubber has the usual porosity at the back, see photo. Nevertheless a very good looking early Petri. Askingprice SOLD
  8. 9 out of 10 condition $1200 shipped

  16. Hey everyone, a while ago I came acros a local listing of a few steering wheels online. I am a bit of a steering wheel collector, and a saw two nice Personal wheels, a personal imitation wheel, a (ruined) Moto Lita wheel and a to me unknown wheel. There were some hubs aswell. Two of them are for old VW's, and three of them are unknown to me. I had a feeling they were for some kind of BMW, because there was a BMW horn button included aswell. I found out recently the unknown wheel was (I believe) called a Petri wheel. And that the BMW horn button belongs to it. But I cant find out what car this hub is for. Maybe a 2002 or an E9. In the middle of the hub is a BMW logo with ‘1.10977’. Can anyone help me out and shine some light on it? The plastic cover for the hub is also included. The wheel itself isnt in that good of a condition. The size is 380mm, and the wheel is covered in some kind of foam. There are no markings on the wheel. The chrome is peeling and the centrering isn't looking that good anymore. The foam is still looking good though, so I'm thinking of polishing the spokes and painting the centrering. Or will the wheel lose its value because it isn't original anymore? I don't plan on keeping it because I don't have a car for it, and I'd rather use one of my lovely Nardi wheels. But I don't mind spending some time to freshen it up a but before sale time. In the sale were also two identical hubs included. I think these might also be for a BMW, but I'm not sure. On the front it says 0156 and on the back 3120. There are no logo’s or brands on it. It looks like a Personal hub to me, but not sure. It does have the Personal hub pattern, being 6x74mm. Here are some photo's, maybe someone recognizes it? Let me know what you think! Thanks in advance, Rein

    Petri 35

Have a driver condition Petri 35 for sale after switching to a 38cm. Came on Euro delivery car I imported a few months ago. Dealer represented all parts as original to car and while I have no reason to doubt them, please review photos and make your own decision. Happy to provide additional photos in response to PMs. Please note that wheel has been wrapped in leather, which is in very good condition. I have no knowledge of condition of foam beneath leather wrap. Note also the nick above the "M" of horn button. Not pictured, but I have the cancelling ring. Everything worked fine - cancelling, horn - prior to removal yesterday. USD $550. Buyer pays shipping. Thanks
