  1. 1974 BMW 2002 No Sunroof - NOT RUNNING - Complete engine but missing Radiator I purchased this from a long time owner in Oregon who said it had a 5-speed transmission not the standard 4-speed. I needed a 5-speed for my 2002tii and was going to swap but when the car arrived it had the stock 4-speed. Car has some obvious rust, rear floor boards and fenders and hood. The shock towers are not rusted and the rockers appear to be good as well. Car rolls and was transported to San Diego on a trailer. Located in Spring Valley CA. I have clear Oregon Title Please email me at colletti.charles@yahoo.com if interested or would like some additional pictures. I have a friend with a flatbed that can transport in So Cal.
  2. 1972 BMW 2002 - ROUNDIE - 4-SPEED - RUNS AND DRIVES - SUNROOF - NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE - $1995 - Text/Call 858-208-8449 or email colletti.charles@yahoo.com I know this is not the prettiest girl at the party but she has character and starts up every time; even after sitting for 12 years. Yes I have posted here before as well as ebay and then I pull the ad down as I just know I can make her look amazing again. I even have a show piece tii motor with all the accessories and 5-speed as I was planning on making her a tii tribute. But, I need the cash for my real tii and have to hope I can still afford a roundie when I am ready to do my tii tribute build. I am listing for sale for exactly what I paid earlier this year to FAQ members in hopes someone will see in her what I do. Get her before I change my mind again. Here are the details. This car has a numbers matching original engine. The rust looks worse than it is; some obvious rust in rear shock towers, the passenger side outer rocker panel and rear wheel well and the drivers side rocker has some rust too. It is just the outer rockers not the inner. Aside from that the frame rails, spare tire well and floor boards are pretty clean. I pulled the battery to charge it and the battery tray and entire engine bay is very dry and appears as if no front accident. Windows roll up and down, doors open with no problem, trunk and hood as well. I put some fresh gas in the tank and cleaned the carburetor and car runs and drives; shifts well with a good clutch and brakes, but the exhaust pipe is removed and has not been installed so very loud. Car hasn't been on the road in many years. Sunroof doesn't roll back and e-brake does not hold. Comes with clean Colorado title
  3. https://www.facebook.com/1976BMW2002/ Hey guys, looking to sell some of my projects and focus on my other cars. So I have three 1976 BMW 2002, blue, yellow and copper. My plan was to use the yellow and copper to fix up the blue. The issue with the blue is the rust. Rear fenders, rockers, front fenders and towers. I was going to use the parts cars and parts that I have bought to repair the blue and repaint. I have rust free front fenders, new rockers and sure that the parts cars could cover the rest. I have tons of parts removed and boxed up. Just putting this out to see if anyone is interested. If I don't get a buyer I just will look to finish the car and sell it complete and part out the other two. See facebook page link for more pixs. Thanks! $5,500 firm for all three and all parts.

  5. I have a 1974 2002 base as a parts car it was just wrecked a day ago. it still starts and drives but the front end was smashed in a low speed collision so the radiator is busted but everything else including the engine is still in working condition. I found another car on craigslist but it's a 1968 base with a bad dif. Could I transfer my old differential from the 74 to the 68? Are the engine mounts the same; I did a lot of work on my old car and the engine was like new is it possible to swap out the 68 engine for the 74? Any other additional information regarding switching parts from the square to the roundy would be appreciated, thanks.

  8. Hey, people! I was looking on my local Craigslist and I came across what was listed as a 1981 320is. Seeing as how a 320is is a rare bird and how we 02 lovers can scavenge 5-speed conversion parts from them, I decided to go take a peek. Well, after close inspection, I was able to decipher some stampings on the driver side of the case. There is a 1, then kind of separated away there is an S and still further away and lower down there is a 4. From what I understand the S stamped in the case meant this was indeed a true 320is. So I gave it a test drive, liked how it felt and plunked down $1300 for it. I did a couple burnouts on the way home to confirm that it leaves two tracks and it passed the "test". Breaking down the car will actually be something new for me. I contacted a buddy (a Honda dude) to ask if he knew of local shops that would be interested in the remaining parts of the car. During our discussion, he mentioned that he and his buddies will at times buy/break down Honda Civics to get the parts they want and then sell off the rest for some extra profit. That led to a great conversation where I said "if you do the labor to take off the parts I want, you can sell the rest for yourself". So now I have someone who will break down the car for me. They will consider the remaining parts their payment for the labor of getting me my bits and pieces. The help I could use, is advice on what else I might want. Right now, I understand the list of "must have's" to be as follows. Transmission complete with slave and shifter platform - I will shorten and rebuild the platform driveshaft differential half shafts recaro seats - Need to be reupholstered I currently have a small Grant steering wheel (with adapter) on my current car, but I like the three spoke 320is steering wheel. I plan to test fit, but does anyone know for sure if the 320is wheel fits? If anyone has a buddy who needs 320is parts, the car was a daily driver, it ran fine all during the freeway drive home and the electrics are all working. There are plenty of good parts. Jose
