  1. It's been a while since an update, and I'm happy to say we haven't been idle. There's a few new parts I've developed and released, now on the website and into the hands of fellow enthusiasts. Hoping to both share the news and maybe gain some feedback/insight into what else might be needed and desired...as I often times am most inspired to create parts that fill a void in the market both style and function-wise. Here are a few of the recent offerings: replacement under dash panels with accommodation for a deep 5-1/4" coaxial speakers (sold with or without speakers) Center console insert/shifter surround with dual cup holder (works with factory style shift boot, sold with or without leather shift boot) center console gauge/switch/radio panel, houses standard 52mm/2-1/8" gauges (even ones with oversized bezels) that are angled upwards and towards the driver (for LHD) below them is an area for hazard switch/aux function switches (that does not require extending the wire harness) & a lower location for a shaft style factory radio or an aftermarket DIN sized radio. aluminum (brushed, polished or satin black) and wood (or leather) e-brake handle "upgrade kit" with matching leather brake leaver and shifter boots (full details and descriptions/pricing at www.kooglewerks.com)

    My Bmw

This BMW was my first car when i was 16. I drove it till the head gasket blew....and then some. It sat for 3 to 4 years. I bought a rusty donor car for cheap. I stripped it and kept most of the parts. the donor car was a '75 automatic w/AC. If anybody in the central PA region needs an auto tranny, or Air Conditioning parts let me know i have them. After i blew the motor i parked it for a couple years and I recently decided to swap the motor. The swap is complete and the clutch is new. The car runs....not well yet. brakes need some work and my Alpinas had 6 layers of paint and im in the precess of stripping and repainting them. let me know what you guys think. Cherry Picker Ready to pull motor! Heres the old engine out of the car! Heres what looks like a blown head gasket or maybe even cracked head. Alpinas 13" (2) 6.5", (2) 6" Alpinas Being Stripped Thanks again everybody. Advice is always appreciated.
  3. Bought this on the FAQ from Hans about a year ago decided to go with my black Moto Lita instead, to go with my black and salt& pepper Interior. 375.00+ Shipping
  4. Rare 60's Peretti ( Personal/Nardi ) mahogany steering wheel in outstanding condition.Perfect size 385 mm. Brand new BMW hub included ( NK or 02 series, polished or black ).
  5. Anyone out there with a Nardi steering wheel? What size wheel do you have? I recently purchased a 360mm (14.1732") Nardi wheel, but feel as though it may be too small. I'm thinking about returning it for the 390mm (15.3543") wheel, as its much closer is size to the stock wheel on my 1975 2002, which I believe is larger than 400mm. Any input on which size is more common in 2002's, or why one might be preferable, other than a better turning radius with a smaller wheel? It's hard to tell without mounting and test driving. Thanks! Ross
  6. Is anyone aware of a quick release hub for a Nardi wheel? Or am I stuck modding a standard quick disconnect or converting somewhere to a MOMO?
  7. Hi All, I have for sale a 350mm Nardi 'Trophy' Wheel, complete w/ 2002 Hub and BMW horn button. I've just installed a different Nardi wheel and hub in my 2002, so it's time for this one to find a new home. Condition should be pretty self-explanatory from the photos - well used, with surface crazing on the leather surround, and the hub's paint is somewhat worn. Overall, it's a nice wheel that feels and looks right at home in a driver quality 2002. This wheel was installed by my car's previous owner, and I always thought it was pretty neat and felt great while driving, but a little too race-focused for my aesthetic taste. Asking $220 plus shipping for everything, which I believe to be very fair based on the cost of a new trophy wheel alone at $300+, and then the BMW horn button and hub that range wildly in price from $50-$200+ each. Any takers here? I'd love to sell it to a fellow 2002 enthusiast rather than tossing it to the wolves on ebay!

  9. Dear FAQ, I'd like to start a lasting discussion about boss kits, steering hub adaptors, indicator/turn signal cancelling, horn contacts and anything else to do with putting nicer looking steering wheels in our cars. As you probably know, Nardi/Personal use a 6x74mm PCD, while Momo/Italvolanti/OMP and others use a 6x70mm PCD. For maximum adaptability, a lot of aftermarket hub's are drilled for both PCD's - which is great - but the vast majority of them suck in one way or another, lacking proper horn contacts, indicator cancelling tabs, or both. I have been using a Nardi Classic 390mm for a few years on a Luisi boss kit (model 1502) which was working okay (just okay...) until I pulled it out to modify it and ruined it. This hub included a proper tab for cancelling the indicators, albeit too small a one, until i snapped it off. I currently have two adaptors, one marked 1501, one marked 1502. They differ slightly and in a rather annoying way (On the left is 1502, which used to have a horn tab, which I modified, then dropped and snapped off) I wasn't happy with how much rotation I needed to cancel the indicators, so I was widening the tab to hit the cancelling tab earlier. So now I'm facing modifying one of the bosses to include some indicator cancelling posts, which need to be non-conductive or well insulated because of how close they are to the column so that the horn doesn't stay grounded. Either that, or find a good replacement that will do everything it should properly! BTW, my car is a RHD '76 and has the indicator stalk on the left What boss kits have you had good experiences with? Is there any standard steering wheel parts that can work with any aftermarket adaptors? Can you easily cancel the indicators by hand, like in a more modern car? My indicator stalk unit doesn't like to be forcibly cancelled at all, and i'm wondering if it's faulty or worn out, of if they're all like that.

  13. Hi Guys, Just wanted to share this info in case someone needs it... I searched around but only found incomplete answers to my questions. Something simple, but it was bothering me. brief intro: Bought an 02 with a Moto-Lita steering wheel, horn didn't work. Took it apart, noticed the contact from back of horn button to steering column "ring-contact" was not present. To make the constant contact with the steering column ring, I was originally going to use a bolt through a spring, surronded by a rubber sleeve (to insulate it from the hub). Did some searching, didn't know what the contact would be called. Turns out it was called a "horn brush." I tracked one down at blunttech.com. They had stock ones in-stock ~$15 (not listed on the site). From my searches I read that this works with Nardi wheels (but not confirmed). ...but before placing the order i contacted Moto-Lita by phone (had originally emailed them), turns out they have a solution, and will be sending me a pencil contact. £5.00 hope this helps some. Anthony
  14. I'm selling this wood 15.5" Luisi steering wheel. I have owned it for about three years and enjoyed it very much. This wheel looks similar to the Nardi wheel, except that it has a flat face so your steering assembly doesn't extend so far out. It comes with a center horn button that has a nice little metal roundel on it. I never hooked up the horn so no guarantee the button works. The hub (2002 fitment) and wheel are in great shape, no gouges (only the normal surface scratches). The wood is in good condition. Price: $180+shipping(UPS)
