  1. Ben Younce is setting up a fall drive in Indiana for the RGB crew. Details are still TBA, but we will meet up at 10:00 AM and complete a roughly 190 mile circuit of interesting byways, including a ferry ride, a lookout at a lock, a visit to historic Madison, IN, a winery-restaurant and a beer hall in Oldenburg, IN. The RGB page on Facebook is the place to look for more information, but I will update this page once there are more details to share.
  2. Cookout/GTG from 11:30AM - 10:30PM Address: 3840 Robertann Drive, Kettering, OH 45420
  3. until
This will be a very casual event; no headcount is needed. Just show up and join me in the outdoor biergarten at KBH. Kreimer's Bier Haus is located at: 6052 State Route 128, Cleves, OH. Our Off-Season GTG there was a great success, so now we need to experience the ambiance along the river with beer steins in hand.
  4. Meet at FUEL Coffee along River Rd for C&C and then we'll meet up at 2726 Riverside Dr. Cincinnati, OH 45202 from 11 AM - 5 PM. It will be a cookout, so bring some food, drinks to share.
  5. Got a set of fronts seats awhile back and decide to just experiment and try out some rustoleum vinyl upholstery paint.? Knowing in the back of my mind I would be testing the water and completely reworking both seats with either new vinyl or leather upholstery. So I decide to paint the passenger seat because it was in much better shape than the driver, minimal rips or cracked unlike the drivers seat which had holes in the bolster and seat bottoms. Come to find out after the seat had been completely broken down the seat bottom had been cracked and split two ?, didn't realize it was even broken u
  6. I live in the Bay area, which means that two weekends ago was the highlight of my 2016 automotive schedule - Monterey car week. For the past three years I've gone to the historic races on Saturday and Sunday, but since this was BMW's 100th birthday I talked my dad into coming out and we added Friday's Legends of the Autobahn to the itinerary. Of course, I had kept this new car secret from my dad since purchase... I wanted to see the look on his face when I picked him up from the airport in this old thing. No photos this time, but all he could do was laugh and shake his head.
  7. The departure of my '71 Chamonix left the M3 as the focus of my attention. I spent a year or so bringing the car back into fighting shape, as all of the rubber in the car was original, worn out and dry rotted. Every suspension bushing, engine mount, intake gasket, you name it. The car still has needs, but overall it's running very well and is driven often. It's pretty close to stock, with a chip, suspension, and wheels. There's a link to my progress thread on s14.net down in my signature if you want to see more. Recently I moved house, and a b

  9. E30 Sport Steering Wheel 380 mm good condition stitching Is intact, leather cover is unscuffed or discolored $225 shipped in Continental US
  10. I’m looking to buy a 2002 underground rear subframe and trailing arm kit for a medium diff swap. 5 or 4 lug version. Or subframe only kit. Thanks! Jonathan
  11. These are THE best pair of matching, original, and genuine (say it now) German leather (not vinyl) E30 sport seats I have seen without a full redo, of course. I have NOT, however, seen a lot of these in an 02'er but many of us have several BMWs. So, I thought I'd offer them here, to my fellow bimmerheads. I really don't want to ship these, which is why have such a hard time selling them, probably. Because I've had a lot of people who want them but not peoples from Florida or you know Southern Georgia. I would love to get these someone who could use them. They came out of an '88 325ix. It's long gone, unfortunately. All it needed was an engine *sad face emoji* seriously, a beautiful ix manual, which had been taken very well care of. I saw it at the yard in town which will not sell whole cars. I hate it, but offerthere was nothing I could do.
  12. I have listed this event on the FAQ RGB calendar for October 24th. Ben Younce is finalizing the details. We will meet up at 10:00 AM. The drive will be approximately 190 miles in total. We will be driving the back roads of southern Indiana, stopping in places like Madison, IN and Oldenburg, IN. For those of you using Facebook, the event is featured on the RGB page. Many of you have been asking about the schedule for the RGB Fall Drive 2020 on Saturday October 24. #1 Eat a hearty breakfast. The 10AM meetup and departure point will be Anderson Ferry on the Ohio side (near the Airport,) One Anderson Ferry Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45204. From there we rather unnecessarily set sail across the Ohio (Bring $5 cash!) to the great state of Kentucky for our first driving stint that includes a brief stop at the Markland Locks and Dam. From there we head north to the completely acceptable state of Indiana for a drive along the river’s scenic byway with a brief stop in Madison, IN to check out the Lanier Mansion Historic Site. Our planned lunch stop is the Stream Cliff Farm Winery where you can taste/buy wines, order food from their restaurant to enjoy in their outdoor space or packaged “to go” anywhere on the grounds. You’re also welcome to bring your own picnic lunch if you prefer. From there we venture to the ruins of a historic mill and then up to the Oldenburg Brau Haus for a Spaten on the back patio. From this point it’s a choose your own adventure for the route back home. If you’re headed back to Cincinnati or Northern KY, IN 1 back SE towards Lawrenceburg is the suggested route. Others headed east to Dayton/Columbus can depart in that direction. If there is sufficient interest, we’re working on a few primitive campsites in the area that can accommodate socially distanced overnight accommodations. If you’d like to stay overnight and camp, please message Ben Younce asap. The long-term weather forecast looks sunny and in the 60s. This is a family friendly event and we hope there is a little something for everyone to enjoy on what will be one of the last good driving days of 2020. 7You, Dirk Rasmussen, Scott Aaron and 4 others 7 Comments Like Comment
  13. I am looking to swapping my 1970 2002 auto with the set up from this car (see picture). Could someone let me know if it’s even possible and what major hurdles might have to be overcome? Thanks
  14. Longshot here, but looking to see if any of the other M2 folks might have an S14 valve cover laying about. Missed out on one on eBay by mere seconds a month ago. Would love to have one to help move my project along. Thanks for your time. Bob
  15. Original fuel pump is shot. Can't afford a new TII pump. Read that a 5 series and/or 3 Series fuel pump will work. Need to visit junk yard to find a replacement. Is there specific models, years that I need to look for. Also.... The original reserve canister is no longer with the car. Is that needed or can I go with just a pump? Any help would be most appreciated.
  16. Last January we got together at Mecklenburg Gardens Restaurant near the University of Cincinnati campus. This event will be repeated due to popular demand. In one form or another, MG has been around since Deutsch was the most common language in Zinzinnati.... If you'd like to talk BMWs, dine on German food and have a beer or three, you should join us on January 7th, 2017 at 6:30 PM. The address is: 302 E. University Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45219. We had great luck last year, the weather was unseasonably warm that evening.
  17. I can't seem to find an inside diameter measurement for the very sexy e30 grip i want to buy for my 02. I'm hoping for 3/4" -- can anyone confirm or deny whether they are interchangeable? I'm sure someone can answer this in two seconds. Thanks guys!! Darien
  18. First off, apologies to readers because I know this is not a 2002 post. However, I am not sure where this kind of post should should reside, plus I think 02ers would enjoy an E30 M3 story. Plus, M10 and S14 cars share the same yadda yadda yadda... My name is Beck and I am freelance photojournalist and wedding photographer in San Francisco. I also have a '74 2002 Tii which is how I got connected to Rich (rlobdill), fellow Tii owner and current seller of this beauty, an all original, high mileage, but thoroughly cared for, E30 M3 in black on black. Although I never work in product or advertising photography, I agreed to shoot Rich's chariot for the Bring a Trailer listing. No matter how the shoot went, I'd get to hang out with another 02er and ride in an E30 M3! Right off the bat, I felt a little out of my element. I am used to photojournalism where adaptation matters more than imagination. My natural instinct is not to direct, it is to observe and process. But direction is exactly what was needed. We started off by driving through out the Marin Headlands, making some nice portrait and detail work. This isn't a typical advertising shoot since these types of listings require much more detail work and little to no lifestyle imagery. So later we went to Rich's house where we did more technical photography, documenting important aspects of E30 M3's as well as every matching vin sticker (this car has all the originals vin stickers, including on the head). Despite taking several hours longer than I expected, the shoot was a an great experience. I wouldn't mind doing more, but would probably try to push the lifestyle part a bit more. What makes an E30 M3 owner's life special or unique? How is an E30 M3 used differently than a regular E30? Those kind of things. 20. Hello everyone. I'm new to bmw2002faq so forgive me in advance for any dumb questions. I bought a 76 2002 project car last October and it came with a full set of extra parts including a complete s14 engine, transmission , wiring harness, ECU / everything in the enclosed picture from a 1989 E30 M3. I have everything you see in the attached photos. My issue is I'm not sure if I want to go the S14 engine swap route ..... car came with a perfectly good m10 engine. I see lot's of misc s14 parts on ebay etc but never the complete package like I have. My question is what is this engine/ tranny worth? Anyone interested in this for their project? Right now it is just taking up space in my garage.
  21. Hi members, I'm looking for 4 (or 5) e30 steelies for my 71. Anyone have some laying around? I'm in Marin, CA. NG
  22. I have a set up 14" bottle caps for sale. The previous owner painted the faces black and the rims white. The paint job is relatively sloppy and has a few scratches, but looks decent from 5 feet. Wheels themselves are in good condition (although a bit dirty), with no cracks, chips, curb rash, or bends. All four wheels have a set of cheapy 195/60/14 tires mounted on them which have good tread, but are NOT advised for driving on as they're nearly 10 years old. Two older center caps are included. $100. Price drop to $60. Local pickup in Orange County only please. Location: Santa Ana, CA, USA
  23. I was wondering in anyone knows if e30 seats (Front and rear) would fit fairly easily in a 73 2002? If anyone could help that would be great! Thanks! -Dom
