  1. Complete Clardy 1980 system. "working when pulled" in 2017 due to radiator upgrade vs. compressor mount conflict. Blower assembly with wiring and controls, center fascia with vents and side panels with vents (panels mount to existing stock center panel – my side panels were cut by installer to fit Clardy side pcs. shown in "center fascia" photo below) Compressor with belt, mounting bracket with (most) hardware, Clardy dryer, evaporator, cooling fan, relay for fan. (Hoses included for “reference”. I had to cut one hose off compressor and one off dryer as fittings were seized up initially) I'm attending the Vintage and will delivery everything if I have a committed buyer. Otherwise local pick-up 17603, not shipping danke.
  2. Looking for this knob and switch. Anybody got one laying around? I have a Clardy AC and the previous owner put an ugly rocker switch from Radio Shack on it. Much appreciated.
  3. I'm sure this has been done before, but I wanted to see if anyone has any photos or advice. I'd like to add air conditioning to my '75 to deal with these Atlanta summers, but all of the aftermarket center consoles look, well, aftermarket. I want to keep the stock look, so that would mean hiding the evaporator in the engine bay and routing some vent tubing to direct the air into the cabin somewhere. Is there a reason I shouldn't do this? Does the engine bay get too hot? Maybe the glovebox is a better option? Those with experience please chime in, I'm new to the A/C game.
  4. Looking to put A/C in SWEET16. If anybody has A/C parts, I'd be interested in what you have. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hi, I haven't been on the forum in a while. I'm getting my 2002 halfway in shape and I come across a problem: I'm trying to remove the fan and the condenser from the car and I don't know which way to go... meaning do i remove the radiator from the car and pull through that way or through the grill openings. I have the side grills off and having little difficulty getting the kidney grill off but I can't see where that would be a benefit anyway. The cooling fan is unbolted and it seems like it could go through with the side grills but it hits the condenser. Can anybody point me in the right direction if there are any answers on this thread or form I would really appreciate it. I googled and found a PDF file of the BEHR air conditioning system installation booklet and it says to loosen the hood retaining brackets. I haven't done that because I can't see where that would be an benefit with this system. Thank you. All the other components like the Compressor etc. have been removed and put into a box years ago so there is no danger of the refrigerant leaking. (Delia this is your old car) Alan S

  8. My name is Owen and I’m currently working on a 2002 318is restoration and swap. We recently bought another 2002 off a guy down south and I happen to receive these. I didn’t know how much they go for until the great people on BMW 2002 FAQ enlightened me. Everything you see is in great condition. Minimal cracks, no missing pieces, no bullshit. However, they are a little sun damaged and might need a coat of black, and the back of the dash fan holes are a little cracked, but that doesn’t affect fit to the AC unit at all. I tried my best using interior cleaner and only could manage getting some dirt off. I don’t really know how to determine whether a AC unit is good still (without spending more money) so it comes as is, although being the simpleton I am, it looks to be in great shape; wires, hoses, and all. It was taken really good care of by a car collector, and he clearly knew what he had. I’m asking 600 obo. You can contact me via email at [email protected] , or call/text me at 209-662-3092. Feel free to ask me any questions!!
