  1. Only 100 miles on them message if interested
  2. This may seem silly to some but I'm asking anyway. I'm very close to starting reassembly of the cars suspension and drivetrain. Most everything has been powder coated semigloss black with the exception of the wheels, sway bars and diff cover (all oil rubbed bronze). My question is whether or not I should paint the new Bilstein dampers black to blend in with the rest or leave them yellow to let them stand out? My fear is that leaving them yellow will be too much standing out. Thoughts???

  5. Price:: 1 Location: : Kenmore, WA **SOLD** Selling a pair of rear Bilstein Sports. Purchased over the summer, drove the car a couple of hours, decided they were too stiff for me and replaced them with a pair of HDs. My speedo/odometer was broken while these were installed on the car, so can't quote mileage but I used less than one tank of fuel while they were on the car. They're basically new. Top mounts, washers and nylock nuts that came with the shocks are included.
  6. Springs removed from my 74tii. Unknown origin but the long ones have remnants of gold paint. Long are 12.5 and short are 10.5. For comparison's sake: Ride height with these is same as Ireland Stage 2. I would say these lower you about 1.5". Ride feel is nearly identical to Ireland S2 -- possibly these are a little softer. The main difference came from the shocks (I changed to Bilstein Sport and one year later added S2 springs, so I had a chance to try them separately). They seem fine. Pics later I'm on lunch hour. $60 plus shipping from 15211. Thx Also the black ones appear to have gold paint under the black paint. See photo below but you cannot really make out the paint. Also have front and rear sways removed from tii (same as std) for free -- but pickup only on those.
  7. I restored my January 1973 build tii with factory springs and Bilstein HD shocks. What did I know... Ride height is way too high, which you really feel when cornering. Maybe because of '73 bumper height regulations? I'm not a racer, but I enjoy enthusiastic driving on twisty roads. Everyone seems to recommend H&R Sport springs with the Bilstein HD shocks, but I was reading about the H&R "Touring Cup" and more aggressive "Sport Cup" kits, with H&R shocks metered to match the spring setup. Any experience/recommendations? I'm running 185/70-13 Michelins on stock alloy wheels. Thanks in advance!!
  8. The time has come for me to start cleaning out the garage. When I got my 2002 it came with some spare parts. I have a pair of REAR Bilstein HD Shocks for sale. I was told they had never been installed and judging by the looks of things, I believe that is the case with these. I'm going with Koni's all around so I have no use for these.   9. Price:: 200 Location: : Thousand Oaks, CA I have a very nice set of Bilstein HD shocks and strut cartridges, as removed last weekend from my 1973 tii. They have been in use for about 2 1/2-years and 8,000 miles here in Southern California. I upgraded my stock suspension with a "H&R Cup Kit", which included supposedly matched shocks...though when I opened the box they sure looked like Bilstein's! Anyway, I'm selling these for $200 plus shipping. I can ship to anywhere in the USA for $35 by FedEx Ground. As you probably know, a new set costs $436 plus tax and shipping from Tire Rack...   10. Have searched extensively, not much info for the rear springs. I have IE stage 2 springs and Billy sports. I remember some time ago reading that these struts have a built in bump stop, can anyone clarify? I understand that shorten springs sit a little funny, but these look terrible. I have tied my front springs to the cup via safety wire, worked a treat. Is there a similar solution to the rear?
