  1. Hi there I am back. Well sort of. I am beginning to collect a few bits and pieces for a new project. I bought ClassDave's '73 Bavaria. Very cool and solid car (Thx Dave!). Anyways, I am looking for the pieces or a complete manual pedal assembly to convert from auto to manual. Please let me know what you have!? Kindest regards, Bill P
  2. A date has been set! We will be returning to Sabbath Song Farm in Brooksville, KY on Friday, September 21st. We will have a two-night stay at the lovely B&B owned and operated by our wonderful friends, Wes and Carolyn Boatman. We will meet up on Friday afternoon at our customary gas station in Wilder, KY for a brisk drive to the farm. The featured Jason-led drive will take place on Saturday the 22nd. As always, this event will feature fantastic back roads driving, great food, adult beverages, laughter by the fire and maybe some expensive bourbon uncorked throughout my trunk once again! BTW, many of us who are heading north on Sunday like to take the ferry across the Ohio River so that we can drive the back roads on our way home. So, fill up the gas tank, check the tires, top off the oil, clean the windshield, tighten some nuts and bolts and plan to be there!
  3. Kidney grill for CS and other early 2.8 through 3.3 models. Very good condition with some dings. All four mounting posts are intact and the grill is straight. Also posting this on the E9 forum.
  4. I have confirmed the date: January 19, 2019. Kreimer's Bier Haus, 6052 State Route 128, Cleves, OH, 45002. We will again be using their lower level party room and ordering from their menu, rather than having a buffet. Time: 6:30 - 10:30 PM. Please let me know if you are going to attend. I'd like to give Erin their banquet manager a decent headcount. Thanks! See you there!
  5. Bavaria & 3.0cs 4-speed transmission Getrag 262 for 6-cylinder M30 cars I pulled this tranny in 1992 from a 1972 Bavaria with 65,000 miles it shifted perfectly $450 + shipping via FedEx from 95945 65 pounds 22”x12”x12”
  6. Cookout/GTG from 11:30AM - 10:30PM Address: 3840 Robertann Drive, Kettering, OH 45420
  7. Event Title: RGB backyard cookout: Denkerhot Event Author: Jim_75Sahara Event Date: 08/03/2019 12:00 AM Cookout/GTG from 11:30AM - 10:30PM Address: 3840 Robertann Drive, Kettering, OH 45420 RGB backyard cookout: Denkerhot
  8. Looking for 14" NK steel wheels. 4 of them, 5 would be great. Also looking for the smaller dog dish hubcaps that could fit... Thanks! S
  9. Two years ago the barn finder sold it to his close friend for him to fix up. He never got around to it, so we picked it up from him. We began working on it but our novice skills were not good enough for some of the repairs so we took it to Marks Motor Mechanic in Walworth. The car has new Steel brake lines Brake pads (front and rear) Brake calipers (front and rear) Fuel filter Spark plugs Wire set ATF fluid Trans pan and gasket Weber carburetors Differential fluid Oil and oil filter Brake fluid and booster hose Intake manifold gaskets Exhaust system (very quiet) Starter Tires Wipers Fuel Lines Vacuum lines Battery terminals Tail lamp bulb Brake fluid Wheel bearing seals Water pump Upper and lower radiator hoses Radiator Valve cover gasket Drive belts Thermostat and seal Ignition switch Other things noted: Fuel tank was drained, cleaned, and flushed. Engine Compression: #1: 165 #2: 165 #3: 162 #4: 173 #5: 165 #6: 175 This car is a really really nice driver, and also really fast...surprisingly fast. Can cruise at 85. If you want the footage then maybe I can find it. The paint is original, but it looks like someone tried to make it look nice but failed with the buffer and they made some bad marks on the hood. There very tiny bubbles on the car that are noticeable up close. It is a 5 footer. The interior is pretty nice, the dash does have cracks, and the seats are original and crunchy from the horse hair. Everything works such as dome light, the warning signals for when the doors are open or when someone does not buckle their seat belts (or a bag of groceries) The fuel gauge does not work. $6,300
  10. Not mine and not even a 2002 but a friend forwarded me this Craigslist find and it's too clean not to share: http://odessa.craigslist.org/cto/5654743479.html
  11. Saturday night, January 13, 2018, we will have our annual off-season dinner gtg at Kreimer's Bier Haus from 6:30 - 10:30 PM. (6052 SR 128, Cleves, OH 45002) Unfortunately, I was let down by the service, food and atmosphere at Mecklenberg Gardens last January, so this will make amends. I dined at Kreimer's and I was impressed with their attitude, their food and their ambiance. We will be in their party room on the lower level. It is reserved for us with two servers and the banquet director attending to us. We will order off of their regular menu. They have many beers on tap,so the selection is quite good. We may also want to schedule ourselves a warm weather gtg there, depending on how well you all like it there. They have a large outdoor bar area along the river that would be ideal for a fair weather gtg/event. I have posted this event on Facebook as well. If you don't do Facebook, please respond here if you wish to attend the event. I will need a headcount for Erin the banquet person.
  12. A reminder: -- get your ride ready for the latter half of May. We will have a large contingent of RGB folks in Asheville this year. Jason Gipson and Eric King have been hard at work (!) on new RGB T-shirts, banners, yard signs and even an RGB flag... Why do I mention that? Well, we plan to enter the main event on Saturday as a GROUP (Gruppe?). We will rendezvous en route to the venue so that we can enter together and park together. We will be able to show our colors and continue to represent our regional group in style. We certainly get noticed on Facebook. We garner a lot of interest and many compliments related to our posts, our activities, our 'team spirit', etc. This year's Vintage will be an opportunity to have a great time while expressing ourselves as a tight-knit unit of enthusiastic classic bimmer owners. Let's show folks how it is DONE. There will be a caravan to Asheville once again this year. There will be updates regarding the caravan to NC and also how we will enter the Main Event on Saturday -- parade style.
  13. Was having a particularly bad day at work today. On the way home up I-95 a late model Silver 3-series cut me off (didn't they spy my CCA sticker in the back window of the Pilot?). My spirits lifted when I spotted this Malaga Bavaria just past the Newington exit. The driver looked like they had just come from Fort Belvoir. A CCA sticker appears in the rear window! Sorry for the blurry pic - I was two lanes over.

  15. I have listed this event on the FAQ RGB calendar for October 24th. Ben Younce is finalizing the details. We will meet up at 10:00 AM. The drive will be approximately 190 miles in total. We will be driving the back roads of southern Indiana, stopping in places like Madison, IN and Oldenburg, IN. For those of you using Facebook, the event is featured on the RGB page. Many of you have been asking about the schedule for the RGB Fall Drive 2020 on Saturday October 24. #1 Eat a hearty breakfast. The 10AM meetup and departure point will be Anderson Ferry on the Ohio side (near the Airport,) One Anderson Ferry Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45204. From there we rather unnecessarily set sail across the Ohio (Bring $5 cash!) to the great state of Kentucky for our first driving stint that includes a brief stop at the Markland Locks and Dam. From there we head north to the completely acceptable state of Indiana for a drive along the river’s scenic byway with a brief stop in Madison, IN to check out the Lanier Mansion Historic Site. Our planned lunch stop is the Stream Cliff Farm Winery where you can taste/buy wines, order food from their restaurant to enjoy in their outdoor space or packaged “to go” anywhere on the grounds. You’re also welcome to bring your own picnic lunch if you prefer. From there we venture to the ruins of a historic mill and then up to the Oldenburg Brau Haus for a Spaten on the back patio. From this point it’s a choose your own adventure for the route back home. If you’re headed back to Cincinnati or Northern KY, IN 1 back SE towards Lawrenceburg is the suggested route. Others headed east to Dayton/Columbus can depart in that direction. If there is sufficient interest, we’re working on a few primitive campsites in the area that can accommodate socially distanced overnight accommodations. If you’d like to stay overnight and camp, please message Ben Younce asap. The long-term weather forecast looks sunny and in the 60s. This is a family friendly event and we hope there is a little something for everyone to enjoy on what will be one of the last good driving days of 2020. 7You, Dirk Rasmussen, Scott Aaron and 4 others 7 Comments Like Comment
  16. Ben Younce is setting up a fall drive in Indiana for the RGB crew. Details are still TBA, but we will meet up at 10:00 AM and complete a roughly 190 mile circuit of interesting byways, including a ferry ride, a lookout at a lock, a visit to historic Madison, IN, a winery-restaurant and a beer hall in Oldenburg, IN. The RGB page on Facebook is the place to look for more information, but I will update this page once there are more details to share.
