  1. There is a micro flat head screw on the underside of the knob. If that hasn't been tightened and the mounting point stripped in the past, that might do the trick and save dog noses, corks, etc. Edit: Correction, the micro screw only holds the knob to the post. My knob held firm with the screw removed. I got lucky with my fix. If someone didn't put the confused emoji, I would not have double checked and would have deleted this post. Back to champagne corks, washers, and pet noses.
  2. Looking forward to coming again but driving the right car this year. Had Anakin out yesterday for a shoot in the city. Almost done with all of the mechanical tweaks for this year, i.e., I.E. shortshift kit, replaced all rear bushings, and installed an AFM.
  3. Beautiful weather and great turnout. Thanks to Frank Greppo and the Patroon BMWCCA chapter for a wonderful event at the Saratoga Automobile Museum. Easily over 200 hundred cars, a sea of o2s, a 507, glas, e9s, e30s, e24s... Met a few folks from Massachusetts (Richard), Rhode Island, and New York (Mark B/LIC) who are active here. Also got to chop it up with Cyndi, Andrew, and Vern. Please post your pics so all can enjoy one of our few northeast outings.
  4. Hi Sherman, that's correct. I sent you an email.
  5. Thank you, Les. My usual suppliers on both coasts do not have it in stock. It's an order from Germany situation, i.e., at least one month if I'm not told later.
  6. Looking to buy the four prong relay socket holder. Please PM me. Happy new year everyone. Thanks in advance.
  7. Hi Brandon, I need the four relay holder from the driver (left) fender by the battery. Can you cut or drill it out intact? It was only available on 74-76 model cars. Featured in the black box in the following photo. Please PM me with your response. Thanks in advance.
  8. Next in line... My person is slow on responding to me and out of fairness to all, I can't hold this up. Wgmack, good luck with the sale and thank you.
  9. Please check PM. Thanks for the courtesy circle of the wagon.
  10. Interested in tranny and possibly booster for a friend and will PM. Just wanted to respond here first so you knew intent and order of responders for first dibs. Take care.

      Hi,

Did I take care of you yet?
I am heading to NYC in 2 weeks

  13. Hi, the rails are for scheel seats. It is not the stock 2002 sliders found under the stock seats. I have both sides available.
  14. Bump. Comes with seat rails. Thanks.
  15. My 02 was to be featured but due to the inclement weather and a delayed radiator swap (back to 02 OEM), my car wasn't available to play. Rocan, hit me via email or PM. I attempted to join the "new" NY group but no one responded or accepted my request. Depending on when you were there, we probably spoke. My 02 was also used to launch the Microsoft Zune back in the mid 2000s when the resto was first completed. Pklym, I'm curious about your take on the show. Watch it and offer your own perspective, please. I found it as complex as life, very nuanced. I am very fond of the one season only series that explores a theme or event then closes shop. After watching the season, I would have been proud to have my 02 featured in it.
  16. Driver side seat in working condition, original padding in great condition, webbing is strong but the seat needs to be reupholstered. The headrest is included, two of the "eyed" c-clamps are missing, and both of the plastic gear covers are broken but repairable. I just fixed four today using a plastic welder. PM if your interested with your cell or email and I will send pictures. Scheels don't become available often, if you need a seat, make an offer. Seat is located in NYC. I don't have images on the device I'm posting this ad from. Thank you. Location: NYC, USA<br />
  17. Hi Bryce, I'm interested in the sunroof crank. I also texted. Thanks, Roger
  18. We had approx ten guys in the mid 2000s who communicated regularly and others who lurked. Some sold their cars or just busy with life. I will hit you offline with all their email addresses. I still have my 02 and will come out and play. Good luck to all with your projects. I have a never ending e9 project. It would be nice to drive it one day.
  19. Although the image is of an American car, we will have a good number of BMW's including e9s and my 2002. We are only featuring 150 cars in the inaugural year. The venue is Roy Wilkins Park, which is adjacent to Addisleigh Park, the historic community known for the many Jazz musicians that resided there, and its tudors, which were developed in line with the Garden City movement. Pre registration is strongly encouraged. We will use three-four parking lots on the 54 acre property. Cars will be loaded between 7 - 10:30 am; the show is from 11am to 5pm. Your support will benefit the upkeep of the park and youth programs. Please visit www.sqpa.org for more details and/or call 718.276.4630, ext. 100. The PDF advertisement for the show is too large to attach, so I've copied a link to an M5 board posting. (http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/usa...gust-13th.html) Although the post is on the M5 board, this is a vintage show. Thank you for your support and consideration.
  20. The car is mine. The rota rims ride well without rubbing; the additional lip found on original Alpina's made for the 320 is hardly missed. Cris did a wonderful job on the rim, it fills out the wheel well. I'm a fan of a fuller look and I find no issue with this rim. Car is dropped on Eibach Sport Springs and Bilsteins. When these photos were taken, rims were just put on so it did not settle yet; car appears lower now. I have attached a few better resolution images. I was able to build my car from the kind posting of others. Good luck. Roger aka rns7602
  21. Harry, I scored an original kamei from a fellow faq'er and cannot bring myself to paint it.
  22. Congrats on your new find and getting all the goodies that most covet and/or spend too much time working on to get it sorted. I recently got my hands on a getrag 265-5 speed. Even though I was looking forward to keeping my csa as an automatic, I think it goes. I have two coupe projects going on at the same time for the last few years. I don't envy you. I started and completed a 1963 Riviera just to have a feeling of completion. Steve, great find. Good luck with your coupe. Enjoy. rns
  23. Both are sweet but I'd take a well sorted e9 any day. I think the e3 and e9 rot away with the same intensity, a little slower than the 02. With respect to price, cost of 02 parts are creeping up. We have the benefit of volume (number of 02's still around) and folks who will trade and/or not rape one another with price. If you like to drive your car every day and park it on the street, keep your 02. Folks play bumper cars to park here in NYC so I drive my minivan when I am not able to baby sit or go from garage to garage. Sucks but such is life. I am on a number of boards and agree that by and large, the fellowship on this board is second to none.
  24. Harv, here's some more candy. I've attached a picture of my Malaga e9 that will probably have a 3.5 and 5 speed dropped in. Check out the Bavaria; I love it.
  25. If one were to spend $1,400 on door panels alone it would take a mortgage, trust fund, or winning lottery ticket to rebuild. Yes, it is only money. For those that have to be a little more prudent, another option is to take a trip to the lumber yard, by the appropriate board, buy hide or vinyl, and commission a upholsterer to make it as you want it. This approach allowed me to shape every detail of my car, mechanically and aesthetically. Based on the prices I've seen, also keeps costs down without compromising quality. I see my cars as fun projects and an escape. Anytime it gets to frustrating, I back away from it. Larson did the interior on one of my coupes. As much of an ass as he can be, he did quality work, and it wasn't $700 a panel. As the masses would chime in, good luck getting it. On my malaga coupe, I found a local shop to do equally exceptional work, didn't have to pay freight and was able to make design adjustments as needed, thanks to proximity. I sold a 911 two years ago out of fear of maintenance costs. I figured hold on to the coupe as I already have a BMW and relationships. I regret selling the 911 but I had to, hey, do what you gotta do. Seems like both coupes should have went if I incorporate the same logic.
