  1. Lots of great local sources - what are you chasing? Best bet is to jump on the BMW 2002 Owners, Australia group on Facebook. There are plenty of 02ers in SA to point you in the right direction. A lot of aussies tend to purchase from Walloth & Nesch in order to use their 75 euro flat rate shipping... naturally watch out for duties which usually snag me over $1k AUD
  2. Thanks Richard! I took custodianship October last year. It's a lovely car and was in a 'carcoon' since the 90s until recommissioning during covid - one family owner from new. Story goes its the '72 Melbourne Motor Show car. Very original down to the original seat material etc. Good fun!
  3. Oakridge winery - Yarra Valley (Victoria). Lots of wineries and nice roads in this region!
  4. Speaking of price point, were they the same price as your prior euro manufactured ones? (this may be asking a bit much of your memory!)
  5. Getting to that time of the year in Australia where the leaves turn a bit inka.
  6. Oh I remember that car well!! I also had a soft spot for it. John Wesse (spelling?) was the owner if i cast my mind back to the mid 2000s!!? Hope i've got that right... (maybe he's changed board name / handle) I imagine yours are only just around the corner now mate - post some shots when they're mounted so i can live vicariously...
  7. Ray! You better be still tearing it up in that silly white car! You were the one who sowed the seed all those years ago. This conversion will be done to my first car (the black one) - one of those 'i'll be buried in it' cars. There are only about 3 M2s down under at the moment and one just got torn apart - but there are 3 more being built now (that I know of). Thanks Jim! I've been having a good explore through the archives and came across Marshall's build. Awesome stuff. Hopefully i'll be able to track down some info on the RHD market issues - mainly steering / exhaust area space. Also, love your superlites! I've just sent a set to @SydneyTii - going to look great. Thanks Jim - appreciate your help. I can see you've jumped into lots of M2 threads over the years!
  8. I love looking back at some of the cruises we had - these shots are from 2006 around the Yarra Valley region (I think a couple of shots are mine and a couple were TMK001). Great bunch of '02ers - most of these cars are still on the road today. Sadly a couple lost to accidents.
  9. Looking forward to seeing them on your car Richard!
  10. The joys of S14s! Yep, plenty of it's gone NLA too. Even S50 tensioners are on the up... Glad you're here to help Jim!
  11. Thanks Paul - Looking for second hand at the moment. Cheers
  12. Hi All, Does anyone have the m2 swap manual hanging about after completing their conversion? I'm about to undertake it so would appreciate a steer! Many thanks Tom
  13. Love this Collen! Soz for thread bump but ... great story! Will you get it out the the German Auto Fest?
  14. Thought i'd update this thread as it looks like the black clips are being re-produced by MvP. My local supplier was able to get them so I suspect they will be available through the major '02 retailers soon. Great news!
  15. Hi All, It's been about a year since the last thread I can locate on these bearings and the NLA frustrations of many. Has anyone had any luck locating or have any information from Schaefffer / FAG? Part# 23121209422 - Cylindrical roller bearing, radial - 52X27X14mm
  16. "But are roundies actually better than squaries?"
  17. If i recall correctly when looking for tyres 195/50 is right bang in spec for most tyre manufactures for a 15x6" rim. I am truly racking my mind for what my car attached was but i think it was 195/50 all round but may have been 195/45 (obviously lowered so reduced tyre gap)
  18. I had a similar story when I enquired ... hold onto your 2303's people! It seems like they are pretty much now totally NLA.
  19. Ideally the A2/A4 style that mounts 'over' the carbs/injection (as I think RHD brake boosters might get in the way of the ti style intake). I'll shoot you a msg though
  20. Hi All, Let me know if you have one available - A2 or A4. Many thanks, Tom
  21. Great to save another one mate! Look forward to seeing it come together. The flares on the 'Total car' look like Zender box flares, but there are other options too like Alpina 'pig cheeks'. I feel like any flared car always looks better with a front lip... my fave in that space is probably an Alpina lip, but check out Kooglewerks lip too!

How are things coming along? Looking forward to another Aussie 02 on the road!
