Hey all!
I’ve got a bit of puzzler here, I’m hoping some of you may be able to shed some light on it for me.
Some background - Daily driving a ‘70, it cranks but won’t start after driving for about 20 minutes. I have it towed home and put a little gas in the carb, it fires right up but dies as soon as the fuel is burned up. After leaving it for a few days and doing a little reading online, I inspect the fuel pump and filter. Mechanical pump is working fine, filter had a bug clogging the intake. I replace the filter and go to start it. Now it won’t crank. I hear a single click coming from the starter. Power from the battery is good. Headlights are bright and I even used a jump-box for a little extra power. Could this be an issue with the starter? It was cranking just fine a few days ago. Could I have worn out the old starter from cranking too much?
Thanks in advance.
