    Just found this picture of me with my first 2002 taken in 1982 during my senior year at Claremont High School in Los Angeles County. The car was a 1969 painted Granada red.

    Beautiful day for a run through the San Gabriel Mountains north of Claremont Ca., my hometown. It was like Northern California weather out there with temps in the 60s and rolling fog on Glendora Ridge Road which I had mostly to myself.

    Update: About a week after I posted this the repair shop sent a mechanic to my home who replaced the shock mounts on both sides.

    I am here I just am waiting until the shop that installed the shocks opens back up so I can get them to fix the situation

    From what you all are saying it sounds like it was not installed correctly. Which is annoying considering I have probably driven the car 100 miles since replacing the shocks.

    Okay thanks I am open to trying my hand at fixing it just don't know where to begin. I guess I need said grommet.

    Greetings, I drove my '02 to cars and coffee this morning and noticed a noise coming from the trunk. I assumed it was the various thing I have stored back there but when I got hom I noticed that what ever holds the top of the shock absorber to the shock tower had failed. So my question is can I drive this five miles or so to the mechanic without causing more damage. The shocks are brand new Bilsteins, by the way. Steven

    So Cal Vintage BMW meet and cruise to 2002AD Saturday morning. We had 23 cars meet in Brea for drive through Carbon Canyon and Chino Hills. And donuts at 2002AD in Pomona.

    We can talk about the BMWs later. How do I get a time machine to buy that '63 Cobra with 3,300 miles for only $4,200? ($36,847 adjusted for inflation) From the original owner nonetheless.

    Went with my wife, the lovely Miss G, to 2002AD to pick up my car ('74 Amazonas grun one) there is always something interesting to see parked at the curb.

    Just scanned these photos of my Granada red 1969 2002 taken the day I bought it in 1982. It definitely needed a lot of work but it also started a lifelong love affair with cars.
