  1. I actually enjoy the peanut gallery, find what I can learn, take away from the more knowledgeable commentators outweighs the rest. No pain, no gain as they say.
  2. @0257 very cool shifter, I need a shirt like that!
  3. Going to put these Grateful Dead stealies on the flip out windows.
  4. My main concern with this crazy 02 market is that I will not be able to afford what I would like when I go looking for my next 02, not to mention what the one after that is going to cost. In the meantime, I am going to enjoy the hell out of my tii knowing that if I never get another one I will have been able to own and drive one of the greatest cars ever made.
  5. Call me crazy but near the top of my list of to do items on my 74 tii is to have the like new e21 Recaros the PO installed taken out and have the leather seats that came with the car when I purchased it reinstalled along with the original door cards. The Recaros are nice but with rare leather it's a no brainer to eventually have them restored and put back in. Was figuring on a budget in the zone, likely plus, of what Steve suggests to get the job done correctly but it sounds like I can maybe offset a chunk of that by selling the Recaros and matching door cards. That's the plan anyways. Cheers, Charles
  6. Thanks Steve. I saw a Goggomobil a few months back that had a similar type of pull back sunroof. Had never seen one before that much less on a 2002.
  7. Very nice looking car @CaptainT. Is that sunroof original?
  8. Looks beautiful, really an underrated color.
  9. Carl, congratulations! Pretty impressive that your car is still a daily driver after 47 years and more so that it looks in great condition. I have a 74tii as well though I just acquired it back in March but they are so much fun to drive. I like them original too so glad to see that you kept the bumpers after all these years. Cheers, Charles
  10. Still 5 days to go. Must be the roof rack!
  11. Beautiful looking car, though I am admittedly partial to Schwarz. I did not see it listed for sale on Oldenzaal Classics' website. Does anyone know what the dollar premium was for the luxury model back in the day and what exactly were the upgrades compared to the base?
  12. https://www.ebay.com/itm/133930907473?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Original Schwarz. @johnpeter must have missed this one, unreliable bots!
  13. My daily, a 2006 330ci ZHP, is insured through Erie, but for my 74tii I go through JC Taylor in Upper Darby, PA. They require an appraisal to insure any antique or classic $50K or above. Rare the square tail light tii that has broken that magic number...yet.
  14. @tomphot, well done and congratulations! Your car is gorgeous.
  15. @JWT , you have a beautiful car there. I had a 76 in Sahara with AC and sunroof back in the day that was so much fun to drive. Looks like you have taken great care of yours. I am short of space as well or I would be all over this. Good luck on the sale. Hope it finds a good home.
  16. Interesting spot for a set of speakers.
  17. Very cool, seems like it would be a pretty unique experience. I can offer no advice other than to go and enjoy, get some good shots of your car. Cheers
  18. My bad, here I thought the only Burlington was in VT!
  19. You may want to think about adding a sunroof to your list especially in beautiful VT. Likely more days you will enjoy rolling back the roof than cranking up the AC but great to have both. Good luck with your search. Let us know what you end up finding, we can live vicariously.
  20. Can't wait for the comment section when they try and sell that one on BaT!
  21. https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/bmw/2002/2532888.html Very tempting with the AC and sunroof, extremely reasonable price in this market.
  22. My 74tii has these wheels and I believe they are original to the car. I love the look of them, even more so that they are original and rare.
  23. Would there be any issues with these stone guards holding water and creating rust?
  24. Very cool. Were these an option back in the day or aftermarket bling?
