  1. I'm sorry but the vehicles have been sold.
  2. I'm sorry but they are currently in the process of being purchased.
  3. I have 3 Glas 1700gt for sale. Good for major restoration or parts. All have all their glass, trim pieces, dash boards, gauges, window regulators and two have seat frames. Floor pans solid but holes in the spare tire well and rusted out on the bottom of the doors. Two have motors that turn over but I've never started them. Transmission in both but don't know the status if working or not. Cars have sat for years. These cars are located in Sacramento, California. Price TBD (This page required a number above) PM me for more information. I can take further photos if you are interested.

  5. John, glad all went well with the sale and shipping. You got a great little car there. If I had room in my garage it would have been sitting in mine. Hate to let those great deals pass by...
  6. Thanks for everyone's interest. The car has now been sold.
  7. All, Here is the owners name and email address. I let him know multiple people are interested. Please email him with any questions. Chester W. Price <cwprice@ucdavis.edu> Thanks, Bob
  8. 1969 2002 for sale. Sorry I don't have much information on this car. Contact me and I'll put in you touch with the owner. Here is the owner's (not me) description. I’m the original owner of 1969 2002, purchased new from Swedish Motors in Marin. For 20 years it’s been parked outdoors. It has some obvious rust, including in the spare tire well; a mostly gone interior; needs body/rubber/trim/bushing work, who knows what electrically, and safety check/replacement of hydraulic systems. It has a stock engine with Weber carb and two-barrel manifold; I also have the original Solex and single-barrel manifold. Original four-speed, with second gear synchro in decent shape. Mechanically okay the last time I drove it 20 years ago. The gas tank is probably full of some jellied substance by now. Asking $3000 or best offer.
  9. Interesting. Thanks. I do have two 1700 engines that are in good shape. Haven't started them but they do turn over. Now you've given me something to think about.
  10. Skicoach, thanks for the reply. My thought process was since I would need to rebuild an engine for the car that I would most likely use a BMW M10. Seeing the restoration is not going to be a 100% restoration, I wanted a engine with a little more power. The M10 would give me that option while keeping it in the BMW family.
  11. JWT, you would have to ask the POC listed. I’ve never seen the car. I was only doing the seller (non BMW CCA member) a favor by posting the car for sale.
  12. Thanks Axco. I know you are one of the foremost experts on these cars so maybe you can answer a few more questions. Other than the original engine and the M10 is there any other (preferably a BMW) engine that is an easy fit? As I’m rebuilding the car I want to consider all options. Also is there a market for the original engine? I have two and I’m not sure if I will be using both both. If I could sell one it would help me move the project along. Thank you.
  13. Does anyone know if the M10 engine drops right into the Glas 1700 GT? Wondering what needs to be modified, engine mounts, oil pan, etc.?
  14. Mfever, I have no idea. Give the POC, Lance a call at the number listed.
  15. I think I was able to compress all 50 photos into this zip file. Archive.zip
  16. I have 50 photos of the car and additional parts. If interested they can be seen on the Sacramento Valley BMW CCA Facebook page or leave me your email here and I can email them to you (or text).
  17. For sale: 1976 2002. Asking $7500 obo. Location: Redding, CA. I have never seen this car nor do I know the seller. The seller contacted me (President, Sacramento Valley BMW CCA) and asked for my help in advertising the car. They did say the engine is "frozen". It comes with all the new parts (including new Weber carbs) shown. Stated $7352 has been invested in the project so far. If interested please contact the seller (not me) at 707-228-2595 (Lance). FOr those that are wondering, I'm sorry but I live too far to go look at this car in person.
  18. I know this forum is for the BMW 1600 GT. I have four 1967 1700 GTs. Obviously BMW owned Glas at this time but my car is sans the kidney grills, M10 engine and rear trailing arm suspension. My question is how is this car looked at by the BMW community? Would it be welcomed at BMW car events such as Then Vintage and/or O'fest for example?
