  1. I believe that would work better, at least going off of manimals posted cad, however since I already had the G260 and adapter I figured I'd try try the drop link mod first.
  2. Hi All, I've been working on this swap as well but only found this thread recently. I'm using the Kpower oilpan, adapter plate, and G260 transmission with a 04-06 K24A2. I didn't have scanned models when I started my build but ran into a lot of the same issues highlighted by the cad model done by manimal. Lessons learned so far: 1. Kpower pan fits, but its clearance is a bit tight. 2. The OEM battery tray has to go. 3. The waterpump thermostat housing interferes with the oem steering box motor mount 4. I removed the oem subframe side motor mount The current issue I have run into is that the center steering drag link interferes with the adapter plate right where the transmission needs to go. I am thinking of looking into making a custom u shape center link that puts the drag link in front of the adapter plate. The E12 center drag link has a similar type of design. Hope this helps anyone else working on this swap.
  3. Parts taken, hoping they will find a way back into an 02 in some way or another!
  4. Unfortunately I don't have the time at the moment to ship.
  5. I am giving away an M10, trans, and spare head that were pulled from my 2002. The head currently on the engine is not in usable condition and the bottom block is in unknown condition. The trans is also in unknown condition. I am offering them for free here with the hopes that someone in the 2002 community can use them. They will be scrapped by the shop if not picked up by next week. Must take all parts. I'll update this listing when they are gone. Please do not disturb the techs at the shop, rather talk to the shop manager Andre. Parts are currently at Importmotorworx in Lawndale : 4623 Artesia Blvd, Suite 2 Lawndale, CA 90260 . Shop Number: 310 370 2299 (8am - 5 pm PST)

  7. Ah ok, thanks for the response/ information! Are there any books or resources you would recommend to learn more about doing an EV conversion? I come from a mechanical engineering background but have very little experience with electrical machinery.
  8. Nice progress! Had a few questions on the motor if you don't mind me asking. How hard is it to get that motor? What are you planning on as far as the inverter goes? I was thinking of eventually going with the Netgain Hyper 9 motor, but didn't really like the fact that it was air cooled.
