    Portugal assembled over twelve thousand 02's and over half of those were 1602's. VIN's from 1060001/VN to 1061683/VN are of the 1600-2 (1968-1971). The 'VN' at the end of the number is a reference to Vendas Novas which was the town where the factory was located (called Francisco Batista Russo & Irmão, S.A.R.L.). I'm half-Portuguese so I'm always geeking out on the subject, sorry! It was Uruguay that built a few hundred of them.
