  1. Ethanol turns some sealers gummy and it starts to partially dissolve off the tank walls in gooey lumps. Then, it gets caught in and clogs fuel lines, filters, and carb jets. Other alcohol resistant sealers only work in a properly cleaned tank. Some don't clean their tank well enough and the sealer can come loose in spots.

I've had a few problems with things I've outsourced and decided not to chance it with a sealer!

  2. Its KiP brand, but there isn't a model # printed on it anywhere. I bought it from Vintage Blau. He's active on these forums too.

These moduls seem to be homebrewed or made in small batches but I regularly see them for sale on eBay and the Samba (there was a user selling modules that had a microphone input so you can take calls, which is cool).

You are basically looking the for a BT module with a DIN connector and documented support for your radio type.  7 or 8 pin connectors support stereo, 6 pin connector support mono only.  This one looks pretty good:

  3. I'm in So Cal and $15k sounds about right (if not kinda low), given the rear damage and rust. The other thing to consider is that many things  cant be saved during disassembly and adds a lot of cost/time to replace.

Dont feel too bad though... I also have a early 2002 and I went the full resto direction. I'd probably have done a survivor build if the car hadnt been badly repainted twice in its lifetime.  Also if I knew the total cost I definitely wouldn't have done it.
