    @Schnellvintage Just removed the cluster.....ground wire is connected surely...however I disconnected from tach..still no spark...unsure this would make any difference. thanks for the input/brainstorming.

    Current configuration is backdated to stock (points, condenser).

    During the smog delete, the resistor wire was bypassed from the fuse box to the coil (new wire). thanks for the input

    @TobyB I put a small Trailer LED Lamp in series as you mentioned....the light stays on with ignition..and during attempts to crank...no blinking on/off ...whatcha think? Thx

    We have 11.95v measured / confirmed..power with key on.

    New wires...however...I also verified that wire is good...swapped with the old wire back/forth Thanks.

    I just checked continuity in that circuit again....it's all good....hmm.....still thinking.

    Using Blue Coil with internal resistor. the old one and new one are the same Ground - yes, Battery/Frame/Engine - removed the wires, cleaned them also....they are new. thanks

    Points correctly gapped and verified to not be sticking Distributor oriented correctly - had a buddy double check with me Coil is new - both old coil and new coil have been tried to no avail. Condenser - tried with old and new condenser....then again...both could be bad thx for the input

    2002 Troubleshooting Guru's ......I need your assistance please FLEX (my 76 02) has randomly stopped running....and ...well...I'm stumped. Initial Status (ran over 800 miles in this configuration..no issues) - Smog Wiring removed, 008 Distrib with Pertronix .....One morning...warming the car up to go to a Cars & Coffee a few months ago....the car just quit running while idling in the garage. The car has New Battery & Battery cables inclusive of the ground to the block - all clean. I am getting fuel..no issue there. So...maybe the Pertronix was fried....I replaced with a Hot Spark version. Trying to crank....the car attempted to fire for about 2 seconds....then nothing When you cant figure things out...change stuff.....Literally all ignition components replaced....put a 002 Distributor in with New/Correct Points, Condenser, Cap, Rotor, put new plugs, new wires, new coil. Verified rotor turning, checked power to coil, checked internal resistance of coil ...recleaned all connections....all good. Car will not give any spark..... no spark from HT Lead present. The quest to run by 02/02/2002 is my goal....any help is greatly appreciated.

    Adam...that looks like a Clardy if i'm not mistaken ....a Frigiking I had before was much narrower..and the BEHR has a much different look.

    +1 ...but making that large drive to the Vintage...I didn't have the heart to even mention the idea of swapped springs....

    After a 17yr hiatus from owning my last 2002 (sold on 02/02/02)...I finally obtained a project car. A 1976 2002 - Pastellblau, 4spd, Behr A/C ...found in SC....Most all original paperwork from purchase included....History from Dealer in Tennessee....1st Owner in Atlanta, GA. Can a high travel lifestyle enable me to resurrect this vehicle?..Let's see!! Many challenges....the name "FLEX" Comes from various patches of FLEXSEAL from previous owner to patch holes in roof (sunroof plugged/leaked/frame rusted) Amazingly that's the only major rust ..the framerails, floorpans, shocktowers, rockers are rust free. The car was originally an Automatic...converted at some point to a Manual 4spd. Car barely runs...body & Interior needs full resto...yeah...probably more of a project than I should take on...but i'm game...in theory. Today (02/02/19)...I pull the car from the trailer....can't crank it for more than 5 seconds....clutch is inoperable..and can't make it rolling into the garage....well...off to a start of sorts...hahah
