  1. Well this is to be decided next. While I consider myself a pureist, I think 1600cc won't be that fun to drive. Thus heading for 2.0. M10 is an amazing engine for its era and I feel more comfortable with a 2.0. What do you think? Is 1602 to 2.0L a modification that a classic fun will accept as regards authenticity? Cheers!
  2. Thanks folks, I have always been impressed by the knowledge and willingness to help in this forum. But also in the 02 community as a whole. Never owned a 02 but by best fit would be a round tail, like 1600-2. I have driven a simple 2002 and was happy with the performance. I have read that kugelfischer is tricky to setup... So I am leaning towards the 2lt with 32/36 or dual if can be found. Thanks again and wish you 23x2002 classic bmw joyfull miles the year to come! Cheers, Kyriakos
  3. Hi 02 community, I am considering buying a 1602 project. Chassis shown in the photos. I don't have the option to review due to distance. Seller is offering the option to finish the project in 1602, 2002 or tii engine. My question is how can I check a 1602 chassis after being painted for possible colisions. Other things to check? see photos attached. Also would the 1602 chassis be able to handle a tii engine or need any upgrades? What would that be? Chassis reinforcements, brakes upgrade, other?
  4. Greeting NK and CS coupe community, I am looking for installing seatbelts in my 2000 CS. I am a bit puzzled because I cannot locate the mounting points. in the floor. My basic problem is the absence of mounting points on the side behind the seats and up because as you know there is no center pillar. That means one need to use rear mount seat belts for the front seats. There is indeed a mount there. Does anyone of you has done the exercise and install seatbelts? Do you know where I can buy compatible seat belts that will cover all the length from the rear tray? Located in Europe but interested in any relevant info. Kind regards, Kyriakos
  5. Oh! my old friend Zinz. Greetings buddy! Your look slick! Actually it is outdoors so I am looking for something good. I will have a look. Thanks, Kyrsa
  6. Hello fellow community, I am an owner of a BMW 2000 CS Neue class coupe. I am located in Greece and looking to buy a good outdoor cover that it will fit right. I want to procure from EUROPE. Any of you have tried any such product? Thanks for your input and enjoy your nice cars, Kyriakos
  7. I bought from Wallothnesch. They delivered very quickly in Europe for the parts that have availability.
  8. For your info, there is a 8mm(inner diameter) fuel hose from the tank to the fuel pump. Then you will need 6mm inner diameter to the 2 cards.
  9. I would like to thank Zinz for his support. The car was back in the road after replacing the fuel pump. I am not sure what was the problem but the filter inside the fuel pump had accumulated dirt from the fuel.
  10. Thanks Ed for your helpful and detailed reply. Any idea of how thick the fuel lines are? Wallothnesch sells both 8mm and 6mm. My car has the standard 2x dbl Solex. ???
  11. Hi guys, My 2000CS was running fine until yesterday. It will typically start with 3-4 tries. But yesterday it wouldn't. I checked the fuel line and seems that there is no fuel supply. I have a transparent filter which is typically 1/4 full of fuel. Like that it would work fine. But it was dry yesterday. I manually made petrol circulate and fill a bit the filter. After some tries it will become dry again. I am suspecting that the fuel pump does not work. It is a mechanical one. Is there a way to test it? Could it be that it can be repaired? What would the membrane in it do? Any help is appreciated, Best, Kyr
