  1. 1976 BMW 2002 Automatic This is a very easy & fun car to drive. It is the rare 'Mintgrün' bright green color. - turns heads & gets 'thumbs ups' all the time. It is the original 4 cylinder engine, with a Weber carburetor upgrade It is mechanically very good, & We would not hesitate to take it on a cross country trip tomorrow. It starts great, runs great, shifts great, drives straight & true, stops well, and is fast & nimble. It has an upgraded stereo & speakers, so you can enjoy tunes from your ipod/phone/etc. Recent upgrades/services: * New AGM 'gel-cell' battery * Front & rear brakes/calipers/rotors were new 1000 miles ago * New Hella driving lights wired correctly through a relay(we used a stock switch on the dash for the switch) * New euro headlight housings with LED headlight bulbs aimed correctly (awesome night light) * Very recent complete tune-up & service * Very recent oil & filter change * Just changed the oil sensor, as it was leaking a little bit - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The interior of the car is beautiful, with everything there & working. There are upgraded Recaro bucket seats that are reupholstered to match the stock black interior. The headliner is is great shape, the door panels & rear panels are very nice. The seats have no tears front or rear, the seatbelts are all there & work as they should. The car has not been smoked in, & has no odd/musty/weird smells This is a 1976 car, 44 years old. I would never say on a car that age that there is no rust, but the only rust is VERY light surface rust on things like the muffler, etc. there is no rust damage/holes/etc. The trunk in very nice, dry, no rust, looks great. Under the hood looks great, with all of the parts there, no messy wiring, clean. The paint was resprayed the factory color about 12 years ago, and looks great! there is one blemish/bubble on the drivers front fender - see pic all of the trim is there & looks great! - see the pics this has been a Tacoma car, & we are the 3rd owner. We have a clear title in our name. no games. If you know these cars, you know their value. We are asking $16,500/offer - silly lowball offers will just be deleted. We will allow careful test drives with one of us with you - We do not need help selling this car - do not ask. Thanks for your interest.
  2. great info..!!.. Now I need to get a loan to buy em..!!
  3. I've searched, & I can't seem to find the info I think I need... I want to replace the window seals on both doors... The ones at the bottom of the window, that keep water from going down into the door... Ours are very dry & cracked.. inside & out... I need some guidance/wisdom from someone who has gone down this road before me..!! Also, the seals that the glass closes against at the top.. we have a slight whistle on both sides... Any advice/info is greatly appreciated... Thanks...
  4. Also, solder the terminals on to the new cable... not just a crimp... Wouldn't hurt to (maybe overkill) to run the ground all the way up to the engine block as well... my .02¢... Nike
  5. Hey all... The high beams on our '02 don't work... Are they supposed to click on & off by pulling on the lever..??.. Or is that just to flash them..??.. Thanks...

  14. Hey all... We are installing door lock grommets & knobs on a '76 that has a replaced interior... The restorer did not put the door locks in... I can feel the oval 'soft' spot where they would go, & there is no hole cut there yet... my question is: does someone have a pic of the underside of that area, or input of the proper way to install the grommet without screwin' up the door panel..?? The pics I have seen of doors look like there's a flat 'shelf' where the grommet goes... ours is slanted like the rest of the area... Advice please..!!.. Thanks
  15. Thanks folks... The car has been restored... I bet there's a threaded rod under there just waiting for us to make a hole, & install a lock button... Nike
  16. No hole, no button... just a smooth top to the door panel front to back... Weird... Nike
