  1. Hey Nick, give me a call or text. 714 267 4947. I have one for sale here in So Cal
  2. 1971 BMW 2002 Asking $17,000 Clean Title Engine, chassis and steering column numbers match original California car Chamonix White with Nardo Grey engine bay (my original plan is to respray the car in Nardo grey) Adrian 714-267-4947 adriancsamson@gmail.com Irvine, California 92614 ENGINE/TRANS/DRIVELINE The engine was pulled for a rebuild and currently has approximately 1000 miles since (2017) the rebuild work was performed. (by the previous owner, comes with all receipts) Here's what was done: (all engine parts from Ireland Engineering) Ø 3:91 LSD Ø 4 speed Getrag 240 has been replaced with a Getrag 245 5 speed Ø New pilot bearing installed Ø 5 speed shift plate and short shift lever from IE Ø Flywheel and clutch replaced with 215mm type. (NEW) from Import Auto Parts Ø New IE long speedo cable for 5 speed conversion Ø Block tanked and honed Ø E21 head sourced to replace original worn head Ø Head / front cover surfaced Ø Guides (8) removed and replaced with new Ø Install cam from original head (Elgin "turbo") Ø One exhaust seat was bad - replace with new Ø Inspect pistons for wear. Pistons in excellent condition Ø Check rod big ends - great Ø Mangaflux and grind crank Ø New rings (89.5mm) Ø New main bearings (first under .25mm) Ø New rod bearings (first under .25mm) Ø All new gaskets - upper and lower Ø Freeze plugs Ø New head bolts Ø New timing chain and guide Ø Driveshaft was professionally shortened, balanced and rebuilt (U joints and center bearing) by Aardvarc Racing. Transmission rear support bracket from 2002 Haus. Stainless clutch line, new slave cylinder Additional Engine/Trans/Drivetrain work done during my ownership (Dec. 2017 – present) I will provide all receipts. Currently around 300 miles since the additional refresh. Ø Complete Engine and Transmission Refresh (March 2019) pulled out, cleaned, inspected (no issues) and resealed. Ø ALL engine upper/lower and transmission gasket replaced Ø Replaced transmission out-put and shift seal. Ø NEW dual Weber 40 DCOE incl. NEW Ireland Engineering intake manifold and linkage Ø NEW IE dual weber conversion kit Ø NEW IE performance aluminum radiator Ø NEW IE performance hoses (all around) Ø NEW IE ceramic coated shorty header, stainless downpipe Ø NEW IE exhaust kit Ø NEW Distributor Ø NEW Tii brake master cylinder Ø NEW brake booster Ø NEW hard brake lines Ø NEW IE 12" electric fan kit Ø NEW Holley electric fuel pump Ø Rebuild/Repainted pedal box Ø Shaved/Painted engine bay in Nardo Grey (LY7C/T3) SUSPENSION/STEERING/BRAKES/WHEELS Ø Both front and rear subframes were removed, cleaned, painted and completely rebuild Ø NEW IE lower control arms Ø NEW IE strut bearings Ø Full suspension (front/rear) refresh kit from Blunttech (rubber, not urethane) Ø NEW IE Stage I spring and sway bar kit and fixed camber plates Ø Volvo front big brake kit and 320 rear drum kit from Ireland Engineering, with braided stainless lines from IE Ø New IE wheel bearings, front and rear Ø Rear shock tower brace / battery relocation kit from Top End Performance Ø Close ratio steering box (silver), fully disassembled, inspected (very clean, little wear) and refreshed with kit from Ireland Engineering Ø Urethane steering coupler Ø Refinished BMW e30 bottlecaps wheels (perfect condition) Ø NEW tires (approx. 500 miles) INTERIOR Carpet kit and recently installed it. Looks great. Front and rear door cards are in good condition. Rear door cards are missing ash trays. Dash is in very good condition. No cracks or peeling. One small hole near the left side of the instrument cluster (looks like PO tried to install hazard light switch here?). Headliner is also in very clean condition with no holes or tears. The stock front seats have been replaced with Recaro Sports. They are in good, clean condition. There is one small tear on the driver's seat, on the outer bolster. Recaros are mounted with aluminum mounting rails supplied by Lee at Massive. Rear seat in very good condition, no holes or tears. I replaced the stock steering wheel with a 370mm Prototipo wheel, which is still in like new condition. The center console is the short type, in good condition with some wear. The mounting point for the emergency brake handle (welded to the tunnel) has a crack in it and causes the brake handle to have a "wobbly" feel. Still 100% functional, but needs repair. New E brake cables. Instrument cluster has been completely disassembled, cleaned and refreshed with new bulbs – turns On/Off sporadically BODY/PAINT Ø This was clearly repaired with filler in the past and will likely require a patch panel to be welded in to be repaired properly Ø Rocker panels on both sides have some areas of rust Ø The driver's side door has some separation in a seam weld near the vent window Ø This door also does not have a functioning door brake. The mounting bracket which the brake attaches to broke off and needs repair (I have two new door brakes and mounting brackets) Ø Some minor surface rust around the hood badge Ø Rust and pitting at the driver's side rear wheel arch Ø Passenger side rear quarter panel has a silver dollar sized dent which has popped the paint off and is showing light surface rust Ø The spare tire well in the trunk shows the type of rusting typical of these cars Ø Still structurally very sound but will need to be properly repaired. Rear shock towers are in excellent condition - no rust. Paint is original. It's not great, but also not terrible. This is a driver, not so much a show car. Ø *** I have a quote from a local Body/Paint Shop here in Orange County for $6,000 that is include a FULL BODY STRIPPED and proper rust work and repaint, they need to car for at least 6 months (I can give you the quote if you’d like) ***

  8. Wow... that price is insane! (In a good way [emoji6]) why not try bringatrailer.com? Just my thoughts Regards, Adrian Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
  9. Steve, Yeah, I've looked around and I ranged from 5k and even up to 25k. And you're right, its what you pay is what you get kinda deal. I probably go with the mid "work body and paint" that is like 8k-10k just because that's my budget and also I am not restoring a "showcar" I just want a decent good looking driver. Tj is also an option but I am not sure how that deal works and im kinda skeptical about it, bring the car out of the states. What you think? Regards. Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
