  1. Rust free BMW 2002. Rebuilt motor. 5 speed transmission. Reupholstered e21 Recaro seats. Weber 38/38 carb and wide and o2 sensor for tuning. ATS wheels with excellent General rubber. New radiator. Bilstein shocks. Momo wheel (pictured Nardi does not come with car). Car looks perfect in the photos, but the chrome and body panels all have dings here and there. It’s a paint job away from being perfect, but looks pretty damn good as it is. New windshield. Turn key, ready to go, sorted car. Alberta registered. No rust. $14,000 USD

  4. My Behr 320i radiator gave up the ghost and needed replacing. I wanted to splash out on a W&N/Jaymic radiator, but covid has slowed down international shipping and I wanted to get my car back on the road as soon as possible. I was able to find a Spectra CU759 online here in Canada, and just finished installing. Time will tell if it's quality is as decent as the Behr, but I can say that the all metal Spectra looks much more at home in the 2002 than the plastic tanks of the Behr. I lopped off the upper mounting "ears" with a zip disc and touched up with paint before installing. So far, so good. Excuse the scruffy engine bay, I beat on this thing.
  5. I should've bought this car when it was in Edmonton. Saw it for sale on the alberta02 list, and it had me twisted. What a car.
  6. Vonbimmer, that car is insane. Another Edmontonian here. My 76, procured with help from Anthony.
  7. Maybe put up a post on the main forum.
  8. The old webbing on the bottom of the recaros was sagging quite a bit, and some hog rings were missing, so one of the straps wouldn't stay attached. Felt like I was sitting on the floor. installed new webbing and hog rings and can't believe the difference. Should have done this right away.
  9. Do you make any with inserts for 5spd shifters?

  11. Peeled the tires off the bottle caps and had them mounted on some ATS Classics yesterday. Spent all night ripping around town and took some pics here and there. Happy with the way this one looks. All the instagram filters. IG: hoarderesque
  12. Dudeland, sorry to hear that. Maybe mothball it for the summer and come back when you're feeling recharged. Steve, when I suggested a single Canadian forum or two sub forums for East and West I was thinking, maybe without foresight, that it would be great for Canadians to do some parts swapping/selling/buying without the hassle and cost of crossing borders and exchange rates. But splitting it up province by province would be much better for building up communities. There are successful local email mailing lists but they can be hard for newbies to find. If you're asking me, provincial sub forums under a Canadian forum would be the way to go.
  13. Diving Board, as the e30 guys like to call them.
  14. I would love to do it like kbmb02 did, and clear up my side marker lights as well, but I want to keep the paint that's on there for now. william, got any pics of the process?
  15. Those are the heavy hitters for any car scene, no question. As a guy in Edmonton, I would love to know what is going on in Calgary without clicking into another sub forum. I would think someone in Kamloops or Victoria would feel the same about a separate Vancouver forum.
  16. For a cars and coffee night, maybe not. But a yearly meet, definitely. And hey, it's gotta start somewhere!
  17. Suddenly I feel a lot of pressure! But I suppose it has to start somewhere. Thank you for doing this. Western Canada is usually considered to be British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. East would be Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island.
  18. Agreed, I would think that an East and West would get it started. Is it still self service? Could one or two be created?
  19. I was cruising the regional forums and it doesn't appear to be anything for the Canucks. It'd be great to have one, maybe two (east vs west?). Or maybe I'm missing something, is there a group that already caters to the Canadians?
  20. Hi guys, Just got myself a 1976 2002, and I am very excited about it. High on the list of things to do is a bumper conversion. The body is rust free, the paint is decent, and the car is very presentable as it is. I don't want to paint the car for a few years but I would like to the bumper conversion. So my question is this: What are guys doing about the mounting holes for the big bumpers when they switch to chrome bumpers? Do they need to be welded shut, or is there another solution to protect the car from rust and to prevent moisture from entering? I know I should probably just do it all in one go, but the paint is pretty good for the time being and the bumpers are tragic.
  21. Found one and brought it home, thanks everyone.
  22. Hi guys, I'm on the hunt for a nice driver quality 2002. I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, but will travel for the right car. No real preference on the square vs round taillights, so long as it's a solid car. Thanks!
