  1. Many thanks, fellas, for the help! I'll give it a look! Best, Mark
  2. Sorry, guys, neophyte here. When I look at the back of the pump, the only screw I do see does not come into contact with anything. Anything further description-wise or especially pictures would be super helpful and greatly appreciated. Best, Mark
  3. Howdy folks! I recently unearthed my car after having parked it for four-plus months, and it's idling terribly. She only intermittently holds an idle, and when she does, the idle's very high (2100-2500 rpm). I'm thinking an air leak, but the car was totally fine before I moth-balled it, so that seems strange. Anyone else experienced a similar issue, and, if so, what was the rememdy? Thanks, Mark
  4. HI all: i'm looking for, but haven;t been able to find, the tube/air duct that mounts onto the front spoiler. The attached pic shows what i'm talking about. I've searched the ETK high and low but haven't found a PN. Does anyone here know where one of these can be sourced, or what reproductions may be available? Thanks, Mark
  5. Hey all: any advice on accessing the center gauge pod (circled in red in the attached pic). I need to reach the clock so I can adjust for better fitment. I ASSumed it'd be accessible via the main gauge cluster, but (gaffe) I was wrong... As always, any/all help is appreciated! Cheers, Mark
  6. Thanks very much, gentlemen! Best, Mark
  7. Hey all, Did an archive search on this, but didn't find any results, so.... What synthetic weight/brand is recommended? Any tips are appreciated. Cheers, Mark

    SOLD

It's the genuine article; same as the one in my car... see attached pic for the e21 example. the spokes on the e21 wheel are wider/thicker
  9. That makes two of us! FWIW, there was no hose there when I found the car, but the car was such a mess it's hard to know what's what. Anyway, I think there should be a hose there, but the damn ETK diagram doesn't show it!
  10. Hi all: The attached pics show the capped nipple on the plenum (the cap is yellow/gold zinc). Should the cap even be there? I ask because it was capped when I found the car and don't want to remove it without checking first with folks who have more experience with these cars than I. Thanks for any help, Mark
  11. Thanks Preyupy. I'll see what's what and report back.
  12. unbeknownst to me, these are still available, or so I've been told... The ETK describes it as a "fuel injection system pressure sensor" with a 62 13 1 357 964 part number. Has anyone here ordered this gauge using this number? I ask because I don't wanna go through the trouble/expense of ordering this and getting the wrong part in return. It would come outta Germany, which means no returns... Thanks! Mark
  13. I've been going to Bimmerfest since it started at Santa Barbara BMW and can say that it's only gone down hill since. Some of that's venue-related--which is understandable given how big the event's gotten--but it's also just a different scene now. It seems like it's become more about the vendors than the cars, and every year there are fewer and fewer vintage cars.
  14. ouch! thanks for the tip... I may have no other choice
  15. Hey all!: I've got a question/issue with the fuel thank in my car. As the attached pics show, the tank in my car's been "modified" with a dipstick-like piece that held in place by glue. The diagram shows a hollowed out section (circled in red). The prior owner did a lot of jerry-rigging on parts NLA, and this is something I'd obviously like to undo. The issue (other than the fact that the 70L tank's NLA) is that I don't know what the heck to do! Before moving on to Plan B (whatever that'll be...) I thought I'd reach out in the hope that someone may have some tips. Do you all have any ideas of what I can do to fix this "modification?" Thanks, Mark
  16. A group buy sounds like a good way to get K&N off of dead-center. I'm in. Any other takers? I'll reach out to K&N once we get a head-count going. Let me know gents. Thanks, Mark.
  17. Hi all: I'm interested in what you all are doing as regards air filters. Are you all staying with the stock part or using something in the aftermarket? I reached out to K&N, but they're no longer producing one for the Turbo. Anyone have a recommendation? If memory serves, the stock piece's kinda pricey, so I'm open to any suggestions. Best regards, Mark
  18. Thanks a bunch!!! I think that's the info I'll need, but I have to reacquaint myself with the issue. been traveling the past few weeks (the reason for my belated response) while the car's on jackstands. thanks again, mark
  19. Hi all: I'm having difficulty removing the control arms. All bolts have been removed and I still can't get the damn things to budge. have any of you all had a simsilar issue? Any advice would be really appreciated. The only other option have at this point would appear to be dropping the entire front suspension... Best, Mark
  20. This sounds like a great idea. I'm in Los Angeles, and although my car's sitting on jack stands as I type this, I'd most definitely be interested in a meet once it's road ready.
